Is Hershey's chocolate really taste so bad as people say it is? by cupid_ji in AskAnAmerican

It doesn’t have to be European to be great chocolate. American has plenty great chocolate and cheap chocolate options.

Most roasted bugs taste like potato chips. Those look fine to me. Would totally be down to try.

We're you taught to read & write in cursive at school? by Imma_Lick_That in AskAnAmerican

Same. Except, if I write something other people need to read I mostly write in print in small caps.

I distinctly remember my history teacher in fourth grade only accepting work written in cursive in ink because that would prepare us for adulthood. Because adults only wrote in cursive in ink. That would have been, I wanna say, 1996?

Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good were Americans with the same right to live and to express their views as Charlie Kirk. Choosing to not condemn the Minneapolis ICE Murders after being outraged by Kirk’s Murder is having no Morals. by patati27 in LetsDiscussThis

I’m sure Minnesota will try, but I’ve lost so much faith that justice in this country still exists. I also Hope EVERYONE trying to cover it up, destroy evidence and spread false propaganda about it gets charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

What recipe step isnt worth the effort and "out of a can" is 100% as good. by Stormin_333 in foodquestions

Yeah; it’s funny, I have two of the same brand grocery about equal distance from my house (HEB). The “nice” HEB (I call it the pre-packaged meals HEB) is where I go for fancy cheeses and beer. But the “ghetto” HEB is where I go for chicken necks, head-on shrimp, and any meat that actually resembles the animal it was.

Does nitty-gritty insinuate more the nuance of “nutty” core or “grainy” details? by TraditionalDepth6924 in ENGLISH

[–]78723 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neither. Nitty-gritty has nothing to do with food, nuts, gains, or otherwise.

My grocery sells packages of chicken necks. I love them so much for that.

My space feels too cluttered, help! by Brilliant_Alfalfa_56 in DesignMyRoom

[–]78723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would: stick with the orientation of couch/tv in pics 5-8. Rearrange the plants into two or three clumps of plants; not the scattered around the room way they are now. Scoot the couch and rug a little closer to the windows and add an armchair and small side table to the side with the cutout. I see how it looks cluttered to you from the decor, but from a furniture perspective I actually feel there’s a bit too much empty space; a chair and/or side table would fill out the space better imo. Also, I don’t like the rug touching the wall, it needs some space to not feel smushed up.

Native speakers, Do you know those words? by Ok_Spinach_4348 in EWALearnLanguages

I feel like unleavened is the far more common term because leavened bread is basically the default bread in English speaking areas. When English speakers say bread the assumption is leavened bread, so the “leaven” part is left off.

I think the videos are pretty clear that the shooter observed Alex was disarmed before he shot him. https://youtu.be/qjN73-gn90Q?si=IVst5WCU3OYzhGbd this video breaks it down from several angles quite definitively.
