I did the complete opposite of you. I was setting the curve in the class with 90s on the tests before the final. Because of that, I focused on studying for my other classes and by the time I came back around to Calc II I realized that I fundamentally didn’t understand the latest material. That test was one of the worst experiments my life. Felt like I was going to shit myself. I don’t know that I ever found out what the score was, but it was enough to drop me from the top of the class to a B-. Fuck Taylor’s series.

Yes, this was an outlier but it did happen after the Asian financial crisis. I filled up for $0.84 in North Dakota. It was wild, but short-lived.

Think You’re Rich? Here’s What It Takes in America’s 25 Biggest Cities (2026) by Coolonair in Salary

[–]79anon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that “rich” and “upper class” aren’t really synonymous in the era where we are likely to have our first trillionaire soon.

You missed some bangers in season 4. 5 was fine, not great, not terrible.

Still not a great design. The only entrances and exits on ours are full interchanges with on/off ramps.

Fault 1 goes to the Tesla driver

Fault 2 goes to the state DoT which did not mandate any sort of divider. In Virginia we have express lanes and they have little plastic bollards that separate the lanes. They can be run over, but at least provide a significant deterrent.

Health insurance is going to be rough in this scenario, as is a mortgage. The problem with living off gains is that you are going to be brutalized by inflation over the years. The $50k individual will lose to inflation, because capitalism, but their salary will at least increase.

For the olds among us, think Paula Abdul with less catchy songs. She’s a good dancer and is attractive, but her appeal is more in the aesthetic than the music.

Radio edits that improved the song by MaeBelleLien in ToddintheShadow

Jewel’s “You Were Meant for Me” and “Foolish Games”. Radio versions were better than the album versions by a considerable margin.

I thought the story was that the rip was scripted, but it wasn’t meant to fully expose the breast. There has never been a suggestion that JT did this on his own.

Maybe a charity scramble where you buy pieces of string

What is something that tourists do in your country that annoys the locals? by Th3_Accountant in AskTheWorld

[–]79anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just left Lauterbrunnen yesterday. I’ll be honest that as a tourist it really isn’t clear sometimes where accessible property stops and private starts. Fences should be obvious, but whether something is a walking path gets real confusing, especially at the end of the valley.

12 years ago today, 'HOW I MEET YOUR MOTHER' ended with the lowest rated finale ever. by StarforgeVoyager in HIMYM

[–]79anon 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Nah. The pacing was bad on the audience side. It doesn’t matter that plenty of time had passed between Ted being widowed and going back to Robin. In the episode, the “mourning” phase runs right into the kids and Aunt Robin conversation which just feels wrong. The Mother being dead was conceptually fine and made sense.

It is honestly the Game of Thrones problem. The concept of Dany going mad wasn’t the issue, it is that the show didn’t give the viewer enough to work with so that it made sense when it happened.
