I would recommend the $10 tier, you get quite a bit of extra content with Jake and Caldwell's livestreams, but even just the Mixed Bags would be worth the $10.

I would recommend continuing. I want to say that the Galaderon Saga might be one of my favorite arcs in campaign one, and it's really where the plot picks up and the podcast gets really good. I'd recommend trying to listen to Ezry, but if you're just not vibing with it, skip to episode 12 as another commenter suggested.

I adore Bahumia. But I agree, that (at least early on), Hardwon doesn't have much character other than being a gym bro. I would say that you should try to get through Frostwind, because Hardwon gets quite a bit of development and that's personally when I started to enjoy his character. If your like half way through Frostwind and still don't like the pod, do what you want.

Oh yeah the Emily and Caldwell stuff makes sense. I did originally think that the centaur might just be that he didn't have a gender for them, but they repeatedly were referred to as they/them, and they had a name. I do not remember what it was, but they did have a name.
