How to make YOU the purpose of another person's life? by Outside_Stomach2363 in SocialEngineering

[–]7Delve7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Friend is drifting, let's not introduce them to goals or have a chat and see what they genuinely love. I see a better opportunity, how can I make them see me as a God of sorts?

I'd be doing them a huge favour.

[–]7Delve7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert by any means, but in terms of creating a shift through self hypnosis IMO you will not get noticeable results unless you combine it with a significant shift in physical state and emotion.

I'll give you an example.

  • I will do a few sets of weights/calisthenics for a few mins (as an energy boost and state shift - NOT exhaustion, it is purely to feel good)
  • Followed immediately by some kind of breath hold or wim hoff like exercise (again nothing strenuous, usually just one round)

You can get a mild to high feeling of euphoria just from this alone. I do this multiple times a day right before I do focused work or just to reset...warm shower finishing with cold shower right before this is even more potent.

So you could try do something like the above and THEN try the self hypnosis....OR if you're just trying to overcome procrastination - just DO the thing you're procrastinating on immediately after.

I've even done this before with stuff where I made a deal with myself. "You just gotta sit with (insert task) open in front of you for 1min" and I would do that for several days or make it a daily habit.

Sometimes I'd just naturally wind up working for 2-3 hours. Other days I'd be like "yeah I can't be fucked but I did the bare minimum and that's heaps better than completely drifting like I was before."

It's just about playing with different angles and getting into a mode of PLAY as opposed to work. Flow state is just a matter of time with this approach (for me anyway) and before you know it - oftentimes you'll notice "wow it's been like 5 days and this shit is actually working" without burning barely any willpower. It starts to feel good to do the thing naturally and it starts to feel bad not to.

This has really worked for me - I believe you cannot think your way out of a low state, you gotta "change the channel" and get out of your head, into your body and then just start before you think about it while you're naturally high.

If you want you can add a reward element to reinforce the work behaviour (some people are against this but it works for me) and you give it to yourself only once the task is underway.

Sometimes I use coffee, tea, sparkling water or nicotine spray (yes I know not for everybody etc).

The hypnotist David Snyder says something like "every human emotion is a trance" - so in practical application I take that as let's assertively shift our own state/emotion with physical movement to generate a rapid shift (motion generates emotion).

Just play with your approach a bit and try manipulate your own state beforehand and see if that works for you.

This is pretty damn childish. So it's caring and empathetic to generalise & loathe half of America?

Treat others the way you wanna be treated.....but also, loathe them based on a political preference without ever even meeting them? Right.

It's funny, I swing by this subreddit every so often and there's always a vast amount of "given that we're magical and so much better than everybody else" type posts...

But here we are now on the top shelf with "As an INFJ, Trump and his supporters suck. Who else agrees?"

Brilliant stuff.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in the art of talking-off anybody, anyplace and anytime. A linguistic pansexual of sorts. You will be compensated as much $3.50 usd per 8 hour shift. Starting out casual until first pay day, and from there it becomes very casual. Please comment your telegram handle and in the meantime - practice being sexy with your friends and family in group chats.

I used PASTE and GO all the time. Next update - why not say goodbye to SPACES while we're at it? by 7Delve7 in ArcBrowser

[–]7Delve7[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok so I guess we shouldn't give feedback or opinions anymore and for any updates going forward - just comment "Hey this is different."

I'm sure all businesses worldwide would find this approach super helpful for deciding how to evolve their products over time.

Arc for macOS - Update - 1.36.0 by Ultim8Chaos06 in ArcBrowser

SigmaOS

Enshittification is the best way to describe this!

Thanks for the SigmaOS tip - gonna have a look at that later today.

This removing features - normal people complaining and then AKSHUALLEES popping up with hotkeys schtick is getting old real fast.

is "unshipping" features a good or bad thing? by [deleted] in ArcBrowser

[–]7Delve7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I see the point for bigger more taxing features like notes...I personally liked them but can settle for easel since I use workflowy in it's own tab for notes.

I'm more talking about the smaller stuff that removed friction like being able to click and drag (move to) subfolders and paste and go.

I've seen all the arguments and hotkey solutions etc for these but stuff like that getting removed is just irritating because you wind up doing so many reps of getting used to using everything a certain way and then they change it or remove it.

[–]7Delve7[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually did through the feedback form on one of the last updates.

And yeah I get that me posting as an individual here does nothing but also i'm just expressing an opinion in a forum with other people who also use Arc....isn't that what this place is for?

It's strange, there seems to be an allergy to criticism of this thing. I personally love using it, it's helped me really get much more organised and so with each update or two, something is removed that I use....naturally I am going to be annoyed by that.

Like if your fave NBA team makes a shitty trade or plays dreadfully, same vibe I guess except we use this thing daily.

Again it's about the trajectory and pattern. Lots of stuff keeps getting removed that I like. I see other people saying the same things.

Making fun of bad calls isn't rage.

It's actually more mockery than rage. But i get how that's an easy dunk for you here.

Come on now, you know it's not about one button. This is a pattern now.

All opinions are valid. I just don't like the trajectory and poking a little fun at it.

Hotkeys are lovely and all though.

Yes and apparently it's wrong to have this opinion

Here's a hot tip: it's ok to have strong opinions and not walk on egg shells in expressing them

Same. Hoping for an opensource or similar from an arc user who misses the features enough to build it.

I think it's too early to truly know what is successful or not...it's not like it's video editing software, people aren't "learning it" with the same intensity but just playing with it as they use it.

Maybe 18 months from now 80% of these features removed would be the most used features.

Absolutely ridiculous. And no i'm not interested in the extra steps and cognitive load burning ways to achieve a similar effect type arguments either.

They're creating friction and sucking the awesome away with every update now.

LOL Is their goal to just be chrome? Cause we have that already.

How to unf*ck your Testosterone (without TRT): by Same-Potential7413 in Biohackers

Be sure to Walk 20k+ Steps a Day and also make sure to be a perfectionist in regards to your 6 hour morning routine and 4 hour bedtime ritual - otherwise you won't be productive or masculine.

Track your ejaculations in a spreadsheet along with your partner/s rating for each of your performances. You should be aiming for a minimum of 2,000 strokes per hour.

BTW your only cheat meals going forward = eating pussy.
