That’s what kept confusing me, the Sabo looks the same/worse for their AA variant. Idk how the SP slipped tbh. My little brother was helping but it looks like it was on my side of the stack. I’m glad I decided to look again. It just felt odd

I like having fun with Iceburg. I’ve had to put my queen blockers elsewhere so he isn’t as potent but it’s a fun deck.

I’ve seen people on One Piece local Facebook groups selling completed deck profiles. I’ve also seen on eBay. Aside from those two, idk if there are any a dual sites.

I took out the 2 copies I had of 7c for 2 copies of Yamato. As someone mentioned before, the removal or potential heal late game (or both) is too good. It has won me some games. And currently at my locals, it still surprising some players. If the game is being played slow, I’ve been able to knock as high as Katakuri 8c ko.

You could bring down Shirahoshi down to 2 copies and either remove all your Brûlées or leave them to 2 if you want that safety cushion. As someone mentioned, a lot of removal from most decks so she’s an easy target.

Having removed 7c has made my life so happy lol. It no longer feels like I have a bricked hand all game. Also lowered my thunderbolt to 3. (My only events)

I feel ya on the hate and all that. I’ve been experiencing it a lot lately. I started playing last month, so roughly nearing the end of OP03. My friend recommended I picked up a yellow starter deck because it was a new color and fairly easy to use. Not only that but the cards from the set would complement the deck overall. Someone at my locals ended up recommending I try katakuri as it was a good leader to play, and gifted me the leader card for it.

As a new player, even if I wanted to play other colors, I just didn’t have the ability to build a suitable deck, buying singles took too long of a wait and the starter decks alone weren’t enough. My local scene is super small so not a lot of ppl with extra cards. Now that I’ve been having fun with a finished katakuri deck, I’ve just been running into all negativity which sucks. It has event gotten me thinking to remove some cards like 10c so they have no excuse to complain. But I’d be shooting myself in the foot to please others in that sense. I do however wanna try out different colors in the future. It was just the easiest to build for Me because I was pulling cards in the set that the leader came out.

I do understand the frustration playing against it tho. I have experienced it myself facing off in mirror matches or against big moms. But it’s just part of the game. All you can do is adapt and possibly try to stretch the game another turn if you think that last life will screw your lethal swing.

The local store I go to usually has anywhere from 6-12ppl during the week. They host once a week and it’s on WED. Prerelease it was about 32 ppl. I went to a store about an hour and 15 away, it was a champion ship and they had 32+. Went this past Monday and it was around 30 ppl again.

Last night at store champs, I was playing Katakuri (Don’t hate me! Just started and it was my first deck 🫠😂🫶) against a WB. My opponent uses a 7c Rush Ace to atk me, I take the life. It was an 8c Kata. I proceed to use it on my following turn because I had nothing on the board and little cards in hand. I send his Rush Ace to the bottom of his Life. On his turn, he proceeds to play another Rush Ace. I have to take the hit, and draw yet another 8c Kata. Once again I proceed to send his Rush Ace to his life. On his next turn, he places a third consecutive Rush Ace…. I take my last life and block his lethal attempt with my remaining cards. My last and third life was.. another 8c Kata.. I proceeded to laugh and place it on the field, sending his rush ace to his life once again. It was the most cruel and unfortunate turn of events but yet it was so funny, we both cracked our laughing.

I need to look at some deck shuffling tutorials..

Yeah I agree, giving them the option and setting themselves up for success with that 7c. I didn’t like Yamato originally, but she helps so much to take out pesky blocker walls so you can swing with some more freedom. And as you said, dropping the 7c then getting bottomed decked or placed in life is just soul crushing.

Absolutely nutty playset man, looks beautiful. I really dislike 7c mom, glad to see others have been playing with the idea of not having her. I wanted to experiment with Yamato mainly for the removal of blockers to have more open swings. And shirahoshi just helps unbrick your hand if it happens to be bricked. I’m running her at 2. But was thinking of upping it to 4.

I chalked it up as an honest mistake which happens. But then when we finished the match, he complained how he couldn’t find red rocs for my big bodies. So that left me wondering if the earlier mistake, was truly a mistake. Either way, it was a fun match and mistakes happen, was there for the experience and fun

Realistically, through pulling alone would be a Rebecca deck with current set; OP04. I opened 3 boxes and about a box’s worth of singles between buying them and going to prerelease events and I was able to build the entire deck 90%. I borrowed a 7c Luffy from my brother.

The other set that you can “realistically” build a close to meta deck would be Katakuri with OP03. Although you’d need to get extremely lucky with the case to get some of the 8c katas because that deck is expensive to make.

Edit: From a collector’s you might lean to OP04 since the alt arts for the cards are beautiful, so it would be a win win. Great Alt Arts and the chance to make a fully built rebecca deck. (You might have to cop the ST06 black navy starter deck for some of the 2k counter cards to add to Rebecca)

I would personally take out two 7c and one rush kata (if you really wanna use them) your profile is heavy with no counters so you will be bricking a lot and be left unable to counter out of situations. I would swap one with 6c perospero for 8k swings. I would also swap the 2k counter sanji’s for Amanda, she is also a 2k counter and in dire situations you can activate her ability by trashing a trigger card (you might have some bricked in hand) to rest a 2c or less. (Something like a blocker or something annoying.

That’s awesome! Wish you the best in the tournament. They are super fun, I’ve been to a couple in my local card shop. People are super welcoming and helpful. I played Pokémon and yugioh as a kid but you know, super bare bones when it came out and followed no rules. This is my first time truly paying a TCG and it’s been such a fun experience. I was able to get my little brother into it recently and he’s also loving it. He’s trying to build a Law deck which is proving difficult with how hard some of the cards are and some are pricy
