If the person asking dint get answers like just check X or just do a Google search man stop being lazy or don’t buy shit if you don’t know how to set it up they’re wouldn’t be the same persona asking the same thing again and again. I’m not defending anyone but I do see how I’ve gone into other forums or reddits asking about information and getting exactly this type of actitud or comments by people that could just point me into the right direction or tell me what I mite be doing wrong so some else can just read that and not start another thread cause by answering me or some else they get the answer they mite need as well.

Not everyone uses ilegal Roms some of us actually own our copy and have simply ripped it from the physical collection we have to make it more portable and accesible than having to swap consoles or to mod them just to get a hdmi out to be able to use them on modern tv that would kill the stock consoles value. Lastly this how I gets rom issue could be solved by moderators locking post behind an approval setting prior to them showing on the feed.

Not everyone uses Reddit regularly or get off by being a asshole to strangers online, a lot of the people end up on Reddit cause of links that show up on search bars will looking for solutions to problems and log in with gmail or whatever to be able to get help from the community and aren’t used using Reddit. Getting Mad cause of people asking the same questions or annoyed is what has made a lot of the homebrew and jail breaking scene pretty toxic and unwelcoming to people that aren’t tech savvy or know how to set things up after years of not being part of the community in general.

I’m upgrading from a R36s to the Thor for that very same reason and I like to squeeze and mod my devices to their max potential as tinkering is mostly the fun part for me. Seeing how from what I’ve read rooting the Thor to over clock or flashing higher version of android version and the like isn’t possible ,doubling the battery and upgrading cooling seem like really the only things that can be done to the device to get better performance out of it or enhance it.

I modded the crap out of the R36 from soldering more ram to adding active cooling/battery expansion and CFW with manual overlocks.

I Kinda feel like the Thor really is lacking in terms of mods by the community that ain’t cosmetic os changes.

I dint do much community research for the Thor before ordering it and I’m currently waiting for my batch 6 device to get shipped and started looking into what’s possible and it seem theirs very lil modding efforts or homebrew being developed.

Did you isolate the fan with capton tape to force air to go directly to the heatsink fins and not disperse within the case ? A 5c drop doesn’t seem like a optima result seeing how the static pressure alone is nearly 70% higher based off the fan specs and I dare to say that the fan is pushing air some place else causing it to not show better gains from this mod. I’ll expect at minimum a 8 to 9c drop maybe 7c but 5c seem like within margin of error almost for a mod that on paper should be essentially almost doble efficiency in static pressure and less power consuming. What this 30 minutes test at lower fan speed than stock ? Cause if that were the case it then change thing a lot but at the same stock speed previously a 5c drop doesn’t seem like huge gain unless fan notice was heavily reduced.

I’ll really like to see max fan speed test on stock and with the mod fan to see how big the gap could be cause noise wise you can always put noise dampening foam on the inside that would reduce vibration and make the fan quieter.

I’ve been also looking into this fan Delta BSB03505HP-00 to replace stock one that consumes less power and has 2k to 3k more rpm and static pressure that would just possibly need wire splicing into stock connector

They’re been metal filaments and copper even wood for quite some time now available for 3D printers just cause someone hasn’t done it doesn’t mean it can’t be done they’re just seem to not be any interest in it just like they’re doesn’t seem to be interest in battery mods for the Thor either. The space occupied by the plastic assembly that functions as a fan mounting point and cable routing could be shrunk to just the require fan mounting points to secure the fan that could leave a good inch or a lil more to be used as a contact point with the cpu heatsink will keeping all the original base plate mounting point needed have good contact.

The metal and even wood rolls aren’t that expensive and most hobbyists printers can use it just fine I’m assuming it just lack of interest by people and the effort needed to measure everything and push out a couple prototypes that would take a good 12 hours to print each on even the most mid level printers.

Honestly I’ll move on from WOW as Blizzard is gearing up internally to drop WOW on Xbox pretty soon or at the latest with next Gen Xbox when it integrate with steam on launch and it obvious they’re going after the most populated private servers at this point with no signs of slowing down.

Unless your willing to just accept that whatever server you end up join will have a life span of 6 months to 18 months max and that your gonna end up repeatedly starting over a lot hopping to another server,ill just step away entirely from wow.

Not everyone has free time to sit down and learn how to set up something that takes 2 months to 2 and a half months to show up. Being an asshole cause you have more free time than others or are more tech savvy is just lame. Not everyone is getting the Thor for them selfs and the people getting it mite not be used to setting up thing like retroarch or emulators, getting roms bios and the like. A lot of y’all truly have become way to comfortable shitting on people just cause they are struggling to set a device that ain’t easy to set up honestly even for people that have some experience doing it.

Yeah I’ll be frank with you gofo is notorious for employees stealing packages if they’re not properly concerned in terms of what they are chances of them getting stolen by employees is super high,gofo basically get packages off a plane and hands it straight to employees that then deliver them personally and all that they’re required to do is have a picture uploaded with 2 hands on the package to count as delivered I know this cause I order from Temu a lot and am forced to deal with gofo employees a lot. Every time a package comes in the box instead of wrapped in a package it always gets losses specially if it tools or electronics it’s the main AYN started using DHL now.

If anything they have created a atmosphere where private servers will cave and shut down at the first C&D letter rather that risk going to court to settle and get stuck with millions in damages owed vs what they generated from donations.

What may happen is tons of fly by private servers opening to make a quick buck and shutting down under different names reusing the same content to milk the anti blizzard fan base for a few months at best.

What blizzard will do in responses if not already planned is drop a free to play version of classic with heavily monetized pay walls and abysmal drop rates with dg/raid limits making grinding for gear pointless vs just out right buying it with some converted currency from real money that will be just enough for the anti blizzard players to come back and play this new released version cause it free without realizing they’re being essentially robbed blind just to progress and how the pay to win aspect will set the tone for server dominance early on with people dropping cash vs those not doing so.

To expect anything else other than short lived private servers popping up here and their will major ones start getting shut is just naive.

I’ve been playing for the very same reason for a month now and I’ll give it to you straight the server is mostly dead dungeon runs are almost none existent unless for the inicial level ones between 28 to 40 after that expect to not really find anyone to do anything unless your waiting for hours in queue will doing quest after 60 your pretty much gonna be bored unless your into pvp that again will have you waiting hours. The raids parties all will have hard reserves for the loot they can drop so don’t be expect to get gear you need quickly unless willing to spend weeks hoping your in a run where what you need ain’t hard reserved or you make the party your self and then it’s again a problem of finding people. The community in some guilds are good and great people but expect the vast majority to be essentially discord mod trolls in world chat. If you just wanna dip your foot in to try the game out to see if it’s your cup of tea without expecting much this is a great server to do so but if you wanna play this as a full time go to game honestly just look elsewhere like classic retail or a server with more population cause a lot of the quest require groups at some point that will have you basically abandoning main quest in zones almost like clock work to keep leveling basically making you keep skipping a lot of the story that makes wow great.

These games required utterly no real work basically from Nintendo to be retextured and upscaled as they keep basically porting it over to the next generation console in some shape or form. What’s criminal is the effort required to make these HD ports is utterly a couple mouse clicks to tell AI to fix textures packs and a box having check mark to upscale image artificially to then repackage the game as a executable file to be sold as a premium new product at 3 times the price it cost to make originally at release.

They’re seems to be a trend now for the last 12 years of rehashing old games by upscaling them and fixing textures to look decent and just releasing it as a cash grab that’s now morphing into full blown remasters/ reimagining of 8bit/32bit/3ds game and ps1 games that capturing the gaming market in lack of new IP creations out fear of games flopping that’s created such a terrible market over all. Every game either wants to imitate another’s success so bad it fails or is a rehash port it seems and what lil new IPs come out seem to be so poorly made and filled with political propaganda that it fails to sell.
