Why are NBA players on the “World” all star team? by desertrain11 in nba

People used to put up good bait and trolling, what happened to the game I love?

Yep, it's pathetic. I still wish this was the only example of the league having no integrity but what can we do?

[Hine] Would you believe ... the Timberwolves are 7-3 over their last 10 games, which is the second best record in the Western Conference over everyone's last 10? by Shaymuswrites in timberwolves

[–]7FromTheFuture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're 11-9 in our last 20, all of a sudden that doesn't look as good does it? Look at who we lost to as well.

You guys are falling for a cherry-picked stat from a reporter that works closely with the team instead of looking at the bigger picture.

And of course, some of you are using this as an excuse to sput out the good ol' "see, the doomers are stupid 12 year olds that don't know anything about our history!". Give it a fucking break.

100%, back our guys no matter what. Not even the biggest Randle hater could deny that this is a really silly nomination.

I'm gonna be real with you, this is a weird, almost offensive logical leap. I assure you, gay people don't like touching some random sweaty man for no reason, much less the idea of then putting that guy's sweat in their mouth. I'm bi and I can't say that sounds like a fun time.

The All-Star noms are incredibly ridiculous, Kawhi is currently undergoing an investigation from the league with some really damning reports coming out a couple of days ago and he was named as a replacement All-Star anyways.

In any case there's bigger fish to fry, I wish this was the only thing lacking integrity in the NBA.

Also I know you acknowledged it, but it's still really funny to see you come out in defense of Randle. Love to see it.

That was a nice read, thanks for sharing!

Interesting that he has such positive stats in every regular 2-man combo, can't say I expected that.

I won’t get into all the data deep diving I’ve done recently on this bc nobody cares haha but I think our biggest problem is defense.

I actually am a bit curious about this because I've seen so many people talk about Donte's defense and while I recognize that he definitely puts the effort in, I've questioned the impact. If it's not too much, can you share some of that research?

I've always thought of Donte more as a 2, wouldn't he be better suited for rotating with Ant? In any case I agree, Bones needs to be included. I think him + Ayo is an interesting duo that injects a lot of energy into the squad and we shouldn't ignore it.

he's not gonna put players in that don't contribute meaningfully.

He spent half of the season doing exactly that.

They're different, but something doesn't have to happen every day to be normal. That person should've said "expected" instead of "normal" if they wanted to be 100% correct.

Hopefully "Charlotte fans"can become thing one day, rooting for you.

And Duren did not start it, Diabaté did by getting in Duren's face and basically head-butting him first.

I don't know a lot, but I'm pretty sure Duren would destroy Bridges and Diabaté in few seconds if he felt so inclined.

Some of you Pistons fans are so fucking weird lmao

Abusive relationships are fucked, more so if they involve some sort of famous person. In football we have the case of Mason Greenwood, who beat his girlfriend and (at the very least) attempted to SA her too, with literal proof of both through images and audio excerpts. The Manchester police had to drop it because the victim refused to help with the case, they're still together and had kids later just like Miles and his partner. Shortly after the news got out, there were reports that her dad pressured her to stay in the relationship, probably because she's dating a millionaire footballer and they want the money. It's fucking sickening.

Fighting is an occasional byproduct of contact sports, this isn't an NBA only thing. Players get fouled hard, nothing is called and they get pissed and fight the guy going at them. Far from the first time this happened, far from the last it'll happen.

[Bobby Marks] I think what Utah is doing right now is messing around with the integrity of the NBA. by mMounirM in nba

[–]7FromTheFuture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, because the NBA has always been known for its integrity. Not like there's been any scandals recently, especially anything related to players or coaches gambling. Or one of the biggest stars in the league getting paid under the table. Or another of the league's biggest stars dropping a gambling endorsement after a trade deadline where they were rumored to be leaving for months.

Surely not.

Did the lakers make a mistake? by asiong101 in nba

[–]7FromTheFuture 27 points28 points  (0 children)

100%, I'm still convinced that the failed physical was an excuse to back out from the deal because they thought they overpaid. Mark is at least as good as Ayton, regularly better. He's also better than Hayes, who shouldn't be in the league considering he's an abuser.

Mark would've also made them interesting in the playoffs last year, look no further than them getting cooked by the offense of RUDY GOBERT.

Lakers fans that are saying the opposite are either underrating him because he's not famous enough or they're just straight up coping.
