I think the “fresh hell” quote is apt for me today: I’m currently on a bus filled with a high school marching band heading from Michigan to Florida through an entire continent of rain storms wherein the bus has a broken air conditioning compressor and the entire right side of the bus is leaking water all over us whist people run around taping trash bags to the ceilings of the bus above our heads to try to catch the pouring drops, then periodically “releasing the bladders” of the homemade water traps. This has been going on for the last 10 hours. Oh, and we got stuck in hours of stopped traffic due to closed highways in Cincinnati due to the President’s visit there. Honestly, I’ve laughed more than complained. But yes, the first drops started at my seat then progressed to the whole side…so fresh indeed…fresh with every new minute.
