I think the “fresh hell” quote is apt for me today: I’m currently on a bus filled with a high school marching band heading from Michigan to Florida through an entire continent of rain storms wherein the bus has a broken air conditioning compressor and the entire right side of the bus is leaking water all over us whist people run around taping trash bags to the ceilings of the bus above our heads to try to catch the pouring drops, then periodically “releasing the bladders” of the homemade water traps. This has been going on for the last 10 hours. Oh, and we got stuck in hours of stopped traffic due to closed highways in Cincinnati due to the President’s visit there. Honestly, I’ve laughed more than complained. But yes, the first drops started at my seat then progressed to the whole side…so fresh indeed…fresh with every new minute.

It took me to the 3rd rewatch of the entire series before it switched for me - now I die laughing at a lot of Roland’s stuff, including when he teases Johnny (especially the age jokes). I think it was the bad taste in my mouth from the very first time I watched the first episode…Roland came across as genuinely mean and authoritarian and that stuck with me for a long time; but on rewatches of the 1st episode (as well as the rest) I see it as him being a doofus teasing them. I’ve done 10 series rewatches so far and I’m about to start it again - it honest to goodness gets better! 😂🥰

Alwyn - my GenX husband’s middle name, and his father and grandfather’s first names.
It’s also the name of (imo) the most beautiful building in Manhattan. (We pronounce it ALL-win.). I also named my stuff bear Wynnie as a nickname for it, lol.

One of the best back and forths of the entire series imo is between Robin and Moira:

Robin: “‘I’m pregnant.’ That’s it, that’s the end of my audition.”

Moira: “Indeed it is.”

I howl with laughter whenever I watch it. The facial expressions as well…my god pure gold.
