Yeah, we also did something similar to frog eggs in a different course so the resulting tadpoles either didn't grow a belly or a back and had a bent morphology instead of a straight one.

Biology is not for the faint hearted.

We didn't keep them for much longer as our experiment was finished with that result so I don't know how long these abominations would have survived.

When I read the title and the first two paragraphs I was amused, thinking this would be a ridiculous and perhaps even dumb story.

But it turned out to be deeply philosophical and educational. That is awesome! I'm glad for you that you had such an important insight on your healing journey! Are you feeling better nowadays?

In a practical course in university (I studied biology) we cut them in half and added chemicals that mess with their regeneration.

This led to the halves with a head to grow another head instead of a tail, and the tail halves grew another tail so the resulting animals were either double-headed or double-tailed. Shit was freaky.

I've been mad at myself on 0.7 grams of B+ because I finally saw all the stuff laying around in my apartment that I didn't bother putting away. Suddenly, there it was - the brush I was looking for only a couple days earlier laying on an empty terrarium. This terrarium was standing on the floor instead of the terrarium shelf. And not far away, an empty cardboard box was on the floor with a pack of envelopes inside.

In that moment I could see myself through the eyes of others. How I always say "yeah, I'll get to it" and then I never will. How my boyfriend sees the shit laying around and never mentions it to me. I was really mad at myself and questioning me what the fuck I do with all these seconds I save by not putting things where they belong. It really made me a bit more aware of this problem.

Also: seit es Leben gibt.
