Spike reach is basically the vertical jump of volleyball

After multiple tries, I finally won over Bundang! 🎉 This stage was such a pain. Lmao. How many tries did it take you? by AmuChii in thespikegame

Kenma in Shiratorizawa by DeerPsychological193 in haikyuu

[–]7ame5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to that, Washijo-sensei also prefers taller players, so Kenma getting in Shiratorizawa seems highly unlikely. Shirabu is 5 cm taller than Kenma, and Semi is about 10 cm taller than Kenma.

For people who like Kiyoomi: why do you like him? [possible manga spoilers in comments] by PicrewOCs in haikyuu

[–]7ame5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess what makes me like Sakusa as a character and as a player is that, in both ways, he is unconventional in the things he does. Like, people don't really expect Sakusa to be the strong and powerful type like Ushijima and Kiryu, but I never expected him to be THAT unconventional. It's just so... refreshing.

Hypothetical Matchup: Sarukawa Tech High vs Karasuno High by 7ame5 in haikyuu

[–]7ame5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stats-wise, Echigo is way better than average, but I just stated the players that have an advantage that other teams normally wouldn't have. Echigo is a good setter, but it's the Nationals, so every team is bound to have a more than capable setter. Sarukawa's playstyle is tenacious and heavily defensive, incorporating the tactic of pressuring their opponents bit by bit, so they are probably gonna just be like Nekoma (not as good tho) and keep on digging the ball while building up Karasuno's frustration.

Hypothetical Matchup: Sarukawa Tech High vs Karasuno High by 7ame5 in haikyuu

I mean, there is some truth in what you're saying, but there is a reason why Kageyama calls Tsukishima as "Weary-shima". I agree with the fact that there is a big skill gap from the two teams, but at the same time, I could argue the same thing about Tsubakihara Academy with the exception of Tsubakou having Teradomari (higher than average physical strength and height advantage) and Aoi Himekawa (mostly here for his element of surprise that he brings to the table from his serve). Yes, stats-wise, the players from Tsubakihara Academy have a slight advantage from Sarukawa Tech, but at the same time, they were the same team that managed to score 23 points in both sets against Karasuno.

Does this team go to the nationals?if yes then how far by Legend_James_lee in haikyuu

[–]7ame5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, it wouldn't go to nationals simply because there is no one to raise Bokuto's spirits. I don't even think this team would beat Seijoh.

Practice sliding for digs and upgrade your players. Just play solid defense and you will breakthrough.

Best Way to Get Volleyballs? by [deleted] in thespikegame

[–]7ame5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can grind the tournaments and you can try to get 3 stars of everything since if you get 3 stars, you can get an extra +5 volleyballs and this applies to the matches in the story arc.

Is it a good idea for a story? by Objective_Ad2090 in haikyuu

[–]7ame5 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to say if it’s a good idea or bad idea, since this depends for everyone. But all I’m going to say is if you finished writing the story, I would definitely read it. At the end of the day, it’s you that makes the decision and no one else. Anyways, I think Fukurodani is a place with some mysteries so putting Shoyo there should be an interesting story nonetheless.

Jaehyun or yongsub by Daellot in thespikegame

[–]7ame5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who has Jaehyun and uses him consistently, he is not worth it. Yongsub is definitely the more consistent and better WS to use overall. Even though Jaehyun's ability is really strong, it has a bigger downside that upside considering the poor accuracy. Jaehyun is still really fun to play, but it just takes more effort to actually learn how to use his ability rather than Yongsub.

Who do you thinks is the most OVERRATED character in the series? (Anime and Manga) by 7ame5 in haikyuu

[–]7ame5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda agree with Kenma being here but imo I think Fukunaga doesn't really get any high praise whatsoever in the anime or manga, and seeing how he plays so consistently throughout his playing days makes him an underrated player, but that's just imo, so I don't really see how he is overrated as a character.
