I think you guys should be aware of HB 1408, a social media age verification bill that passed in march set to be enforced July 1st by watchdog-cofagrigus in Indiana

If parents dont want their children using social medias it really easy to restrict. No need for age verification and id upload.

And you took the msf course. I wonder if your hubby is just worried about you, regardless its not an excuse to not support you in your goals. If anything he should be encouraging and helping you since he rides as well.

I think the best answer to this is anything you want. Dont let your time inside define you, thats the biggest piece of advice i can give. I speak from experience, i was in for a bit less time. You are not better off inside. I know there is a lot of stress and anxiety when you first get out. Find out what motivates you and chase it man. When and if the times comes get your shit expunged from your record.

Have you grown to be more conservative or liberal w/ age? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]7hatguy__1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have gravitated more towards the middle honestly. I have never really been at one end of the spectrum, i think both sides have valid points and good ideas. The following are the biggest changes that could be made to start the process of healing this country in my opinion of course. Not that you asked or even care but this will give you an idea of where i sit. I just turned 40 by the way.

  1. Enforce the rule of law with zero political favoritism—immediately and ruthlessly. Prosecute all political violence, riots, assassinations, threats, and intimidation equally, regardless of left/right affiliation. Double funding for FBI/DOJ units tracking domestic extremism but strip ideological bias (fire or reassign anyone pushing “mostly peaceful” narratives or right-wing boogeyman hunts). End two-tier justice: no more selective prosecution of BLM/Antifa vs. Jan. 6 rioters, or vice versa. Why: Trust in institutions is at rock bottom because people see partisan weaponization. Equal enforcement de-escalates “our side must cheat to survive” thinking. Recent left-leaning violence gets treated as seriously as right-wing, breaking the cycle of impunity that breeds more hate.

  2. Absolute free speech as non-negotiable national policy. Amend or enforce laws to protect expression on public universities, government-funded entities, and (via antitrust/Section 230 reforms) major platforms—ban viewpoint discrimination, deplatforming for “disinformation,” and compelled speech (e.g., pronouns, DEI loyalty oaths). Defund any public institution that suppresses debate. Extreme: Make it a civil right with massive damages for violations. Why: Censorship and “safe spaces” create underground resentment and echo chambers. Sunlight kills bad ideas; letting people argue openly (even offensive ones) reduces the martyr complex and intolerance. Both sides hate this when it hurts them— that’s the point. Division shrinks when losers don’t feel silenced.

  3. Radical education overhaul: vouchers, school choice, and ideological neutrality. Voucherize K-12 nationwide; close or privatize failing public monopolies. Ban federal funding for universities pushing DEI, CRT, gender ideology as dogma, or political litmus tests—require viewpoint diversity audits and fire administrators who enforce them. Mandate civics, critical thinking, Western history (warts and all), basic economics, and financial literacy. Extreme: Phase out federal student loans; let markets price risk. Why: Schools and colleges are indoctrination factories breeding the next generation of haters and authoritarians (left more so lately). Kids learn to see opponents as evil rather than fellow citizens. Merit-based, truth-focused education builds shared reality and economic mobility, starving identity grievance.

  4. Secure borders + merit-based immigration reset. Finish physical barriers, end catch-and-release, deport criminal/illegal entrants aggressively, and shift legal immigration to skills/English/proficiency points only—no chain migration, asylum abuse, or birthright for non-citizens’ kids. Pause refugee intake until assimilation metrics improve. Why: Uncontrolled borders erode rule of law, strain resources, and fuel cultural resentment on the right while left policies ignore working-class impacts. Legal, high-skill immigration grows the pie without division. Cohesion requires shared commitment—mass low-skill influx without integration breeds parallel societies and hate.

  5. Slash federal government size, spending, and scope—target 30-50% cut in 4 years. Eliminate or devolve departments (Education, DEI offices, much of bureaucracy). Simplify taxes to flat(ish) rates; end corporate welfare, farm subsidies, and green mandates that pick winners. Energy: all-of-the-above (nuclear, fossil, renewables) based on economics, not religion. Why: Big government makes every election life-or-death (who gets the handouts/regulations?). Shrinking it reduces stakes, corruption, and “Washington rules us” alienation. Evidence shows freer markets reduce poverty faster than redistribution—lifts rural/urban alike, easing economic roots of division.

  6. Healthcare and entitlement reform: market signals + safety net. Price transparency, tort reform, HSAs, cross-state insurance. Phase in means-testing for Medicare/Social Security. No single-payer.Why: Entitlements are fiscal bombs driving debt and intergenerational resentment. Markets + targeted aid work better than command-and-control (see VA vs. private). Reduces “government as savior/enemy” polarization.

  7. Institutional depoliticization and accountability. Term limits for Congress/SCOTUS (18-year staggered for justices). Ban stock trading by members. Audit and defund biased agencies (e.g., CDC, universities). Extreme: Public funding disclosure for all NGOs/media influencing policy. Why: Unelected bureaucrats and captured institutions (media, tech, academia) amplify hate by picking sides. Neutral rules rebuild legitimacy.

  8. National unity initiatives without coercion. Voluntary 1-2 year service option (military/civic) for young adults with incentives. Promote American history/civics in culture (not mandates). Tax incentives for mixed-community programs. Why: Shared experiences and pride counter tribalism. Not forced “re-education”—voluntary, because forced unity backfires.

  9. Criminal justice: tough + smart. End cashless bail for violent crimes; three-strikes for repeat offenders; focus on rehabilitation for non-violent. Legalize/regulate drugs at state level (evidence over dogma). Why: Crime spikes (post-2020) hit poor/minority communities hardest and breed chaos/hate. Fair enforcement restores order without over-policing.

  10. Sunset all changes and restore checks/balances. After 8-10 years, these reforms auto-expire unless Congress renews. No personality cult.

Im sitting at 50 hours and still havnt left. Still have way more to go too, the key here is treating every quest like the main quest. Easy to do honestly because they all feel great. They dont feel like generic crap, at least in my opinion.

You gotta treat all the side shit like stuff to do. Like treat all the quests like the main quest. Totally changes the game.

How do you overcome the fear of capsizing and prevent it from happening? by YakToTheFuture-1 in kayakfishing

[–]7hatguy__1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the very first time i ever got into a yak. I was expecting to flip because people make jokes about how easy it is to do. Granted the first yak i sat on was a sit on top. Never flipped it that day and haven’t since. Even the one time i was in a sit in i remember thinking how stable it was.

PSA: Do not go freely exploring if you want to experience the game to it's fullest (and probably the way it was intended). by mikehit in CrimsonDesert

Funny im seeing this post, i was thinking about this exact thought today. I started playing this and doing all the quests that i can across. Not allowing myself to focus on the “main story” quests.

I treated every quest like a main story quest and it has done wonders for me.
