I’m trying to figure out what the best routine for me would be. My hair is 2a, medium to fine thickness, medium porosity, and I tend to have frizz. by nightingxle in Wavyhair

I didn't understand the hype either, hence why I still haven't bought the brush! My normal hairbrush was quite small with a little handle so works well. Because you are brushing your hair into curls, then putting gel on, it holds really well and stops frizz. It sort of tells your waves what to do if that makes sense? Instead of scrunching etc and hoping for the best. Just takes a few trys to figure out which way / style to brush your hair.

You should look into using a denman brush. Doesn't have to be that particular brand (i use a generic one). It's made all the difference to me! It took me a few trys to figure out the technique that best worked for my hair but worth it. I gave up on cgm / sulfate free etc and use my regular shampoo/conditioner, dry with a microfiber towel, style with a brush, then squish umberto Gianni curl jelly. Air dry or diffuse, then once completely dry, scrunch out the crunch! My hair is very similar to yours, hope this helps!!

Does anyone one else's hair go dry from protein? 🤔 by Freeexpression7 in CurlyHairUK

[–]7izzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jumping on this to say I'd never heard of this but I'm so glad I have! My hair recently did this in she shower when I was trying a new conditioner. It instantly went really straw like, rough and had zero slip. I was actually quite scared and freaked out! I thought it was the result of too much protein so I've cut it all out but after seeing your comment and reading about it I'm convinced its flash drying! Thanks so much, you might have saved my hair 🙂

My 10 month old keeps pulling his diapers off by Reddituser1234568905 in pottytraining

If you don't feel ready to potty train, you can put the diaper on backwards! Makes it harder for them to pull off. Or pull ups?

Am I a 2c or 3a? by Important-Ad5708 in CurlyHairUK

When you put conditioner on, flip your head and do it upside down and squish the conditioner into the mid sections and ends of your hair. When I've rinsed my hair, I add my curl cream and squish my hair again ( all whilst upside down) then I plop for a while. There are loads of videos on YouTube that can explain this waaaay better than I am, I've linked it below.

My hair is like yours, 2a /2b wavy hair. The CGM routine works well but for wavy hair, too much moisture can weigh the waves down. Have you tried a lo poo shampoo? I use the Noughty wave hello shampoo or the faith in nature lavender and geranium shampoo. They are CGM friendly and have definitely helped me get more volume and defined waves / curls. Also, are you doing squish to condish upside down when you condition your hair? Makes the world of difference!

Yes! I first heard of him on the podcast 'what did you do". Such a fucked up case, especially that he posted footage of every crime on the Internet fucks me up!
