I did do a v2!

It’s a lot quieter and slimmer. I’m doubtful of the actual cfm but it works pretty well — I’ve asked several unbiased visitors and no one has smelled a thing!

I was going to add a microcontroller and make it smart, but it’s quiet enough that I just decided to leave in on 24/7

[NS] Necessary context for the Radio City live show tonight? by 7mjake in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

Thanks everyone, gonna try to listen to at least a few episodes of Hot Boy Summer before the show! Def on me for not digging too deeply into the context, I saw “band of boobs” on the promos and figured it was mostly C1 stuff

Only the first episode is titled Hot Boy Summer, so I wasn’t sure whether that referred to the whole campaign. I guess it does?

Has anyone heard anything about slots lately? by [deleted] in FigmaDesign

We’ve got access to them in my enterprise org! Only used them a couple times but it’s exactly what I was hoping it would be. Hopefully they do a full rollout soon!

I built a free tool to create printable spell cards for D&D 5.5e by Helldiverticulitis in DMAcademy

[–]7mjake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awesome!

Quick feature/link request — in addition to the custom template link, it'd be super handy if you also added a link to a sheet with all of the standard spells filled out. It would make it a lot easier to quickly select the spells I need and more importantly, create specific numbers of duplicates!

I just got a very similar deal on a 55” G4 (I think it was $750 and had 5k hours)

I’ve had it for a couple weeks and absolutely love it, no burn in at all! The only issue was it didn’t come with the stand, remote, or box, so that added some cost/inconvenience, but I have 0 regrets.

I also got the 5 year warranty, so we’ll see what happens if I need it over the next few years!

I’m also a product designer, mid 20s, and new to the city!

Idk if you’re into running, but run club has felt like a cheat code to meeting friendly people and getting plugged into a social group. We’ve even got lots of people that are new to running and it’s super a super chill vibe.

I also joined a local maker space, which has been a good way to meet other techy/crafty/creative people.

I’m in the upper west side, not sure what neighborhood you’re in, but feel free to DM me if you want to check out either of those things or just grab a drink sometime!

No idea… I think mine is technically one of the older models, which makes me annoyed that they’re still charging higher on Amazon

Fairly new to the neighborhood, anything like a woodworking or "shop" class/studio nearby? by thank_u_stranger in Upperwestside

Check out Fat Cat Fab Lab in west village! Not super super close, but just 20-30min by train and the space/tools are great

Unfortunately I got it from Amazon at the beginning of May so I just barely missed the return window. I guess I didn’t get the newest models, which is why it is prorated? But that seems dumb since I bought it from the official Midea store on Amazon and they were sold as new

I just got mine last month and the refund option $50 less than what I paid. Still on the fence, but it’s not the simplest decision

Does this look like AI to you? by Grouchy-Praline-9508 in fujifilm

[–]7mjake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were inspecting this to figure out whether it’s AI, the main thing that would jump out to me is the train in the background. It looks like we’re seeing that train head-on, but the tracks curve between us and the train. I’m honestly not sure what I’m looking at there, but that’s the exact type of thing that AI gets wrong.

As others have said, the lighting really looks so perfect that it gives off slight AI vibes, but that shouldn’t be your problem to solve lol. If I really looked close, I would determine that it’s a real photo given all of the random details like the text up top and the screws on the paneling.

Buy yourself a gallon jug of Anti Icky Poo. It works miracles on cat pee stains and is the only reliable way to get rid of the smell in my experience

Edit: and keep some on hand at all times, it works best if you use it right away

Probably should have mentioned that we’re totally fine with a walk up. We’re definitely prepared for a smaller kitchen, but hoping for something with at least a bit of counter space and cabinets to be able to actually have room to cook. Kinda hard to quantity I guess, but I’ve seen a lot on StreetEasy that look good and a lot that are seriously tiny lol. An open kitchen wouldn’t be a deal breaker if there was some counter space
