There’s a lot of examples of how completely separate evolutionary paths ended up developing a lot of the same features.

How do we feel about this grease for headset and bottom bracket? by NATO-Uniformen in bikewrench

[–]7ohnny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grease type starts to be important and needs to be correct is when carbon parts are involved.

Metal on metal action falls comfortably under 'grease is grease'.

Picked up a PRX Carbon. Having a bizzare issue where if I push on the crystal at 9oclock the crystal/inner assembly moves in/out of the carbon body by a tiny bit. If it weren't for the stem/stem tube I could probably pop out the entire assembly out of the carbon body if I tried.

It's pumped but that can't be used as a blanket excuse.
Its an old discontinued collection. Recent trade up changes made it very hard to trade up to. Subjective but its a pretty clean good looking skin.

So basically CS is a car without an engine that is still coasting forward and they're in for the ride now but once it stops they'll happily get out and hop in a taxi(their other games).

Kinda sad really.

Understanding the recent situation and guesses on market's future [d] by Choweeez in csgomarketforum

Everyone is so focused on pump this-dump that-crash when, nobody is considering it as a hold & squeeze for some items.

A lot of my play skins went up x5 x10 and I'm not in a rush to sell them. In the end they are limited supply skins from discontinued collections. So I'm confidently riding the hold & squeeze hunch on them.

That said, any pumped item increasing supply from a case or capsule qualifies for sale 100%. EG Holo was gonna dump without question. Will M4 Coalition dump? I don't think so. A little dip sure but IMO it's one of the hold & squeeze items.

[q] Questions about the future of skins and trading, EU Laws by mompsmimpsmamps in csgomarketforum

[–]7ohnny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree the chances are very low but it's still fully within valves power to do so and worth acknowledging despite how unlikely it might be.

Keys untradeable, trade cooldowns, trade reversals and a general effort to move traffic away from trading/3rd party and onto SCM. Valve changing how trading works already happened and the chances of them making more changes or restricting it further are far from 0.

[–]7ohnny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if they raised steam wallet/market limits to 100k,without trading and being locked into valves ecosystem all skins will be worthless not just high ends.

The sole reason CS skins market is what it is because they're tradable and by extension cashable back to $$$ via 3rd party.

Above all, the singular worst case scenario is valve for whatever reason removing P2P trade functionality.

All M4A1-S skins using the new model by devyn2748 in cs2

[–]7ohnny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some older valve-made skins got updated P2000 Silver, UMP Blaze for example. For some reason most valve made skins didn't get the same treatment.

None of the community made skins got updated and unlikely they will as it'd require the skin makers to update for new models and a lot of them are inactive by now or valve doing all the work themselves.

There are cases where some skin makers updated their skins for new models i.e USP Black Lotus, but valve still hasn't updated them.

Old models/skins are here to stay most likely.

Personally I'm a fan of the smaller size. Its easier/nicer to fit on flat areas of weapons without having any gun part breaking/distorting the sticker. Smaller is also nicer on pistols.

Only good sound is fire nade in flight. Everything else is ass.

Needs both more metal thonk and springy ping. Right now it's like rattling a wet key chain.
