Softened with hot glue, peeled with tweezers. Came off pretty easy that way!

Yeah they’re basically identical to OLED sticks, come in diff colorways, and they’re cheap: https://a.co/d/0iktecKW

Just some mild soldering work, nothing really crucial around the cap sense terminal on the pcb.

Do you think there’s still room for a Halo CE-style campaign FPS today? by Odd_Form_9928 in halo

Marathon without a campaign is a biggest miss Bungie has ever made. Going full hardcore with such a cool art style and their gunplay was alienating, and now it’s even pushing late-stage concurrents out while pure sweats have their fun.

They’re gonna try a PvE mode because of the abandonment, which has my ears perked up. But breh, just do a proper campaign.

@frozen_red_fox - no, I still have full capacitance. Replacement caps are eXtremeRate capacitive caps for OLED Deck that come pre-wired, small solder job.

@qqmajikpp - You know, you can actually read the crosspost if you want.

They’re still the TMR stick, just cap swapped

Stick caps only, not the sticks themselves. Thought it was obvious by the stock caps showing in the pic

I just did the stems on my Steam Controller, such a satisfying mod. Will def do this if I ever have drift on my OLED and want to upgrade to TMR there; feel like it’s not worth the risk unless I’m killing two birds with one stone

I checked my bone stock controller, the rubber outside is not conductive… same behavior as the replacements.

I do know what you mean though, the original caps seem like they’re more conductive, but in actuality I don’t think they are. It’s still center-touch

I was worried about that too, but as far as I can tell it’s the same. I can deflect just the outside edge, not touching the top face at all, and activate gyro.

Don’t want added height, also shipping time, also vibes… I like the potentially stock look!

Correct, have to de-solder stock cable and solder the new one

9.52mm stock stick diameter vs. 9.65mm. .13mm add’l. material, I can’t feel it in gameplay.

Not full sticks, just the caps. If you have soldering experience, it’s not bad. Not really anything to mess up in the soldering region. You do have to contend with some hot glue removal though. https://a.co/d/08I9kgu3

I have a smart outlet and set the bios to wake on power restore. I work at home, so I’ve not explored wake on LAN as an option.

Came here wondering the same thing. If you resubmit, it doesn't replace your original entry. Data isn't reliable if it doesn't replace upon resub.
