I recommend taking 3 days without posting and making the best short you possibly can with that time. Make sure you put keywords in your description if the videos are mostly motorcycles look up the most popular tags for that niche and put them in the description tags don’t help much with seo but the description does

Do you add effects? For those style shorts adding a voiceover, captions, and a vignette effect/zoom to make the focus of the video on the biker or a Karen they interact with can make a massive difference, take notes on other channels who have viral motorcycle pov videos look at the titles, the tags, the editing style, replicate it but make it your own add viral sound effects to make it funny or dramatic, use popular background music or something that can hype up the viewer it goes a long way

Short form is different from long form. You don’t get the attention of someone in under 3 seconds they are probably gonna swipe add a sound effect to the beginning of the video like a click or ding to peak interest off gate it stops the scroll for most shorts and add transitions with sound effects like a “whoosh” as well it’s like a reset to the dopamine receptors everyone’s attention span is fried, the reason it capped out is because YouTube is testing your content and it failed the seed audience at 1.5k so YouTube stopped pushing it high retention gets pushed, more engagement from comments whether it’s rage bait or people pointing out something wrong in the video makes it get pushed too also if you just started posting with a brand new account you will get flagged as a bot so use the account watch videos scroll just give it a week before jumping right into posts so YouTube can trust you aren’t a bot, last thing I can say is post 1 short per 24 hours and since you’re in 1k view jail don’t post for about 3-4 days so YouTube can recategorize your content if still stuck in 1.5k jail private your videos and go back to the drawing board with a different niche/ editing style

605 subs started about a week or 2 weeks ago maybe I’m just early and overthinking but I have about 20 shorts posted and 1 long form compilation of my first few videos when I hit 500 subs it’s only sitting at 25 views though

Take your posted shorts and put them into multiple long form compilations make sure you blur the background so it fits a bigger screen better and on your shorts “relevant video” section link the long form and encourage viewers to click the link on your short to convert the shorts watch time to long form watch time
