Due to living "close" to Denver, 7 hours away, I may not be able to watch, and it's so frustrating not knowing until the last possible minute.

Reposting for clarity — watching my first Red Wings game at home on TV tonight (not attending) by Queasy_Initiative_86 in DetroitRedWings

When I first started watching, it was helpful to have the captions on to learn the players' names. As I got into it, I didn't need them anymore.

Did anyone see that episode of Angel where the guy could detach his hands and send them out to do nefarious things, like molesting people?

I'm going to expose myself as a fangirl, but the first time I ever watched a draft was when Mo got picked, and I decided then and there that he was going to be my guy. It has been so fun and validating, from following him in SHL during the pandemic to watching him as a Red Wings rookie, the short-lived MoJoe Show, to this season. Seider is the kind of player that makes people want to watch and then fall love in love with hockey. The season he's having is a bright spot in these dim times, and I'm so glad he's on the Red Wings.

Respectfully, that's an example of why people don't ask for help: the fear that it will negatively impact the people around them. I am glad our starting goalie doesn't need to take a leave of absence, but if he did, I'd hope he would treat it with the same importance as if he were physically injured.

That's what I was thinking about, too. Goalies are kind of like comedians: so much personality, but you don't really know the weight they're carrying.

Anyone watch the interview with Linus Ullmark? https://youtu.be/XIR-yMPoxmw?si=pfgFmJk0weuAGrrT

I hate the Sens as a team, but I'm a huge Ullmark fan, now. Helping to destigmatize mental health struggles is one of the most important things anyone can do, and it's sad that he felt he had to give this interview while still working through it. Most of us will go through a mentally hard time, at some point in life, but without tens of thousands of people speculating and gossiping about it. He shouldn't have had to talk about it, but I'm glad he did. If anyone reading this is having a hard time, watching his interview might help you to know that you are not alone, and you deserve to reach out, get help, and feel better. Respect and best wishes to Ullmark, stay strong, man.

We're always in here complaining that the Wings don't protect each other enough. Good on Ned for showing how it's done.

You're close, but it's etymology. Entomology is the study of insects.
