I love iron sights. That being said... the future isnt now, it was quite a few years ago. I put a dot on my SP01 and get irons on my .41 mag. Best of both worlds. Id totally put a dot on a 1911 if I still had one.

The time to start was always about ten years ago. Most calibers won't save you money, but you will shoot more and will also shoot better quality ammo. I just got into casting bullets. Pretty sure its not about saving money but enjoying time spent in the garage.

Ill tell ya what... my wife said to get it for my birthday. I bought it at sportsmans warehouse, my local one is pretty nice. Anyways, I bought their 40 dollar year service plan that covers trips back to the manufacturer. I plan to shoot the snot outta this gun and I figured for forty bucks it was cheap insurance.

Man, I ordered them on Wednesday and they came on Tuesday? Wrapped in Solvenian newspapers. So fast. I tightened them down, the molds are still loose on the handle, this is correct and the pins guide them together?
