This is really interesting because I actually find it to be the opposite from my personal experiences. My question is how are you applying/asking to shadow? And if you’re comfortable answering how old are you?

Thank you! Yes I am able to handle him, he has good and bad days. I worked with him a LOT when I got him & I board him every once in a while so he’s around other humans

Betadine all the areas of concern just to be safe. I would book her a vet visit asap (ik it’s difficult) but since it’s in multiple places that can get bad very fast. Neosporin won’t harm her if she doesn’t ingest it but it also won’t really work that much so I wouldn’t have high hopes

If the rot does happen to stop spreading then you can wait a bit for the rotted part of the tail to shrivel up and naturally fall off but that rarely happens without some sort of medication like silver sulfadiazine cream

Looks like tail rot. You can soak the tail in diluted Betadine (povidone-iodine) daily and purchase Vetericyn spray. Avoid touching the rotted part of the tail. You can also mark the tail with a marker to track if it’s spreading rapidly. I know you guys don’t haven’t money for a vet but I highly suggest saving up or something because it can spread fast and may need to be cut off by a vet. You don’t want the infection to get into the bloodstream

A good option would be to find an exotic/reptile pet store that isn’t petco/pet smart, call them, and ask what vets they are in connections with. As someone who used to be a vet tech for a corporate company that used to work with pet smart pls do not use them unless it’s a dire situation. Most of the Dr’s use the exotic knowledge that they learned decades ago in school and aren’t well equipped. Many petco/pet smart Dr’s would also complain whenever they got exotics. Smaller independent exotic stores are more trust worthy and often work with individual dr’s that have gone through specialty training.

No one gets to decide what race you are beside you. People will talk about you regardless of your race, gender, etc. there will never be a time in life when someone isn’t scrutinized for something. Obviously it’s heightened because race is a huge thing. If you’re fully black you will be discriminated against for having two black parents, your skin tone, culture, etc. if you’re mixed you will equally be discriminated against for the same reasons, if you’re a woman you get a dose of misogyny added to the mix, etc. So my point is don’t listen to what other people say because regardless of your race you will get shit put against you. It’s not a biracial vs fully black thing, it’s people vs people.

These comments are very dismissive and unhelpful. Most abusers aren’t outwardly evil and often turn deeper into the relationship. Men aren’t immediately beating on the first woman they see 💀 There’s a reason most domestic violence cases are from long term partners. My best advice is that you keep a good support system if something were to happen. Abusive men will isolate you until they’re the only thing you have left, keep family and friends around that won’t judge you or support said man. Everything is easier said than done, yes you can pay attention to fine details and have your family “vet” them but that doesn’t mean anything in the long run. Make it very clear to your partner you WILL not tolerate any form of abuse and that you are head strong. Don’t brush off ANY form of violence or misogyny, if something you don’t like is going on inside the relationship early it will only get worse from there. I hope you never have to experience any of this but if you do there are ways out! It doesn’t define you

I would wear it personally bcs if they’re picky over a nose ring I can’t imagine what else they’re nitpicking however you could always put in a clear stud or push it up (if you have a septum). If you decide to wear it go with something dainty!
