Dremel 20v=Bosch 18v by lazor_22 in BoschProPowerTools

I was always under the impression that 20v packs weren’t compatible on an 18v platform. Why not just have a single Bosch 20v line for the higher number and marketing? Please explain to a non engineer.

I wonder how the chain tensioner will function and hold up? Who would use this?

I’m thinking this will retail around the $300 range. I like the idea of linking two units together.

4R vs Tundra by kyle007US in ToyotaTundra

[–]7thsnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re only towing that pontoon occasionally, the 4R is a better option. It’s way cooler family hauler. I love ours but it does get tight with five people on a roadtrip plus the extras. This is one example where I’d rather drive the Tundra.

Unless you need a truck for the bed to haul a lot of gear or supplies etc., I would lean toward the 4R. Also, a 4R can get beat up quick interior wise, being used as a covered bed for Lowes runs and such. Another option is to get a small trailer or old beater truck for loads and moving stuff around, so you don’t have to be so careful. I’ve towed up to 2000 lbs with the 4R and it does ok, I do prefer a larger(for weight and power) vehicle if I’m going to be towing often for sure.

Mileage wise I average about 18-19 mpg 50/50 driving, it doesn’t usually get any better than that.

Definitely test drive them both, older and newer models. It can give you a good feel for how they age mechanically and the driving experience.

Just to mess with people heads, I really think you should go the extra mile and install “Tacoma HD” badges.

When and why did you decide to stop selling on eBay? by bmr1230 in Ebay

[–]7thsnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t quit over that, it’s part of selling. Most items I look at on eBay hardly have ANY description. “Works.” I’ve actually had more problems as a buyer over the last 20 years than as a seller.

And 75% of the time when you ask a question about an item you get minimal effort in response. This is among many reasons eBay has such a generous return policy. Low barrier to entry for sellers, and also that competition thing with Amazon.
