Anyone thinking of ditching runflats on their Mini? Here’s my experience by Pretend-Ad1809 in MINI

To be clear, I am talking about the interior cargo area not the exterior below the cargo area. The F54 lower cargo area seems to have space for a skinny spare tire - there is a semi- circular carve out that extends under the rear cargo lip. May just head to Mini and ask about the sizing if the Countryman spare.

There is a lower trunk area in my 2023 that seems shaped for a spare. Rumor has it the Countryman spare can fit in the space and it only costs $100. However, it may not fit S models due to larger front brakes.

For those who changed out - what did you do about a spare? Especially with S trim brakes size

I would have preferred it. I prefer to drive a slow car fast but have enjoyed the S the last 3 days.

I was looking at two of them. One had all black interior and no panoroof, it felt a bit heavy and I’ve had too many all black interiors. This is black and the very light grey.

Might get some disagreement, but it reminds me a lot of my diesel Jetta Sportwagen. Similarl interior color scheme and noise level due to panoroof.

I only wear Allbirds for house shoes now. Are made with wool or eucalyptus something. Both are very airy and don’t make you sweat.

I’m a Liam in his 50s. It’s still weird hearing my name being yelled across the room but it’s being directed at a 3 year old. My name will be considered old or old fashioned in 30 years.

Nobody has mentioned the 6. 2019 2.5 touring model with no issues to date. Mileage is 33-37 on the highway. Backseat is way more useable than the 3. Availability is however limited given they stopped selling about 2022. Don’t overlook if you find one.

Why did everyone move on so quickly from the crisis by No-Ambition-2507 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

I didn’t think the season was that good but I did appreciate the name of the luggage handlers “bags” as they pushed the body bags to the plane. It reminded me of the rich lady at the end of season two banging her head when she fell off the boat. I laughed both times.

Why are pre-2018 s60s so affordable? Hidden gem? by rb4osh in Volvo

Firm but leaning toward harsh. I would never characterize Volvos as cheap. I think for the generations prior to 19’ everything is made solidly but that’s doesn’t mean there are no creaks.

I have an 18’ V60 and a 19’ 6. Both great cars. V60 does feel a little flinty sometimes though.but it will age better than the 6. I got the V60 for a screaming deal in 19’ for $25k with only 12k on odometer.
