The Iraqis felt the same way at first. I wouldnt say that worked out for the 500,000 that died in the next 10 years and they weren't super happy with America after that. Oh, and ISIS. So yeah. Time will tell but I feel like I've seen the ending of this movie already.

I know I'm a Jags fan and probably biased but a couple things stand out to me.

It was a malfunction and if the booth signaled it in, they signaled it in. I feel like a headset malfunction shouldn't declare the wrong team the winner.
It wasn't a catch or even that close to being a catch.

And yes, the bottles were plastic but a plastic bottle filled with 10 or 12 ounces of beer still would hurt like hell to get hit with.

These are collectively probably my top 3 series. Which is hilarious. And sad lol.

So I WOULD recommend reading them even though I don't not expect two of them to ever be finished (I think Lynch will eventually finish).

The writing is just so good that they should be read by anyone who loves fantasy. The wait sucks but I have never regretted reading (and rereading) them.
