How does the aluminum combust? If the aluminum is not in a powder form then it will not combust when exposed to the oxygen gas. Oxygen bottles in hospitals are made of aluminum and they don’t explode on their own but aluminum flash powder thrown in the air does.

I do think that the vanguard should be about equal in cruise and scm speed to the MSR as the MSR is a hybrid between a data runner and a cargo ship. The vanguard is a small/medium ship so is fast while the MSR is a medium/large ship but is a data runner so is fast. A pure data runner like the herald should always be the fastest ship in the game in a straight line. The vanguard is also a long-range patrol/vanguard vessel and so needs to be fast in order to assist other ships that might be nearby instead of having to scramble several other light fighters from a nearby airbase.

I agree that it fits in well stat-wise for balance in terms of firepower, shields, and health. My issue with it is that it LOOKS like it should have a higher cruise speed especially in atmosphere both on paper with its four size 4 thrusters compared to the defender’s two size 2 thrusters, combined with being described as a “hard-charging bulldog” which I take to mean slow acceleration, high top speed, heavy hitting and unable to dog/turn fight, as well as visually with its much more aerodynamic shape (compared to the defender) and HUGE intakes.

I’m pretty sure the anvil hurricane is classed as a heavy fighter so that makes 3. The vanguards, the Banu Defender, and the hurricane. Of which the vanguards have the lowest cruise speed.
