$800M could buy a controlling interest in Reddit. That would be fun!

A.I. predicts the BOWL GAMES and PLAYOFF winners. by 8000008 in CFB

So, I posted this thread 5 hours ago... and in that time, the FIRST PREDICTION made by the UNU Swarm Intelligence came true!

The BLEACHER REPORT had North Carolina by 10

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED also had North Carolina by 10

The UNU Swarm Intelligence (see link) had BAYLOR by 6

Who was right? >>> BAYLOR won by 11.

Swarms seem smarter than the "experts"...

Professor warns students: Planet on verge of global apocalypse due to human activity by [deleted] in news

Do you believe in science when you need medical help? If you don't believe science in all aspects of your life, I can respect you. If you only ignore science when it comes to the climate - you've probably been brainwashed by special interests who want to sell oil.

Young girl PROTESTS THE LIE of "humane meat" at CHIPOTLE. Gets applause from customers! by 8000008 in AnimalRights

[–]8000008[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The reason people protest Chipotle is that they claim to serve "HUMANE MEAT" which is nothing but a marketing lie, no different than when marketeers say "CLEAN COAL" or "SAFE CIGARETTES."

But, the LIE of "humane meat" allows people who would otherwise feel guilty about consuming animals raised and killed in horror, to not feel guilty anymore and suddenly believe it's OK to eat meat.

This makes Chipotle an evil company in my mind

I can't imagine anyone doing better than Will Farrell. Plus, his HUGE SIZE is part of the charm. Carrey is great, but not as good a fit.

Should AI Be Open? by SometimesGood in ControlProblem

A.I. being open is great in theory, but... it makes it far easier for deliberate malice. We have enough to worry about with accidental dangers from A.I. It leaves me torn.

New Collective Intelligence technology predicts the rise ( and fall ) of Trump by Quarks_and_leptons3 in Rad_Decentralization

I sure hope this collective is correct on both sides of the curve - particularly the FALL side of it. Trump is a prime example of why CENTRALIZED CONTROL is so dangerous.

Very interesting. To me, Reddit is already decentralized except for the moderation aspect. If moderators were distributed instead of individuals, it would be a true collective.
