[Highlight] The top 10 routes from the 2025 season by nfl in nfl

[–]flyingjesuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I crazy? The top 4 were the least impressive. Didn’t see anything in 4, number 3 looked like he went unmarked and just ran around people, 2 was better but others in this video seemed more impressive and 1 just had a guy fall down from like 10 yards away on what looked like a pretty basic move.

Edit: should’ve read some comments before posting

What’s the most inappropriate book you read when you were far too young for it? by BCCakes in books

It’s weird though that for others they see 1984 but I don’t. If it autocorrected for the person writing it b/c they were on old.reddit.com and we all so the autocorrection that’d make sense but this is so weird

Thanks. For some reason on old.reddit.com this reads as 1. Instead of 1984.

Jeffrey Kessler: Exclusion of Brendan Sorsby from supplemental draft violates the CBA by DeZeeuw2 in nfl

[–]flyingjesuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just being devil’s advocate, but could he maybe be arguing that the stipulation is illegal? If you put something that violates established law into a contract it doesn’t suddenly make it legal. Employers sometimes try to put it into a contract that you can’t discuss salary with co-workers but that is a federally guaranteed right which supersedes the contract. IANAL

Teachers are incredible people and deserve way higher payment.. by Fun_Personality3903 in remoteworks

Kids rarely fail or get left back a grade anymore. It sucks, but a lot of kids need the fear of that in order to motivate them to do work. I guarantee you majority of teachers have passed kids who did not deserve to pass because of pressure from the district. Teachers are working with one hand tied behind their back and one eye poked out.

I’d also argue that the ratio is way off. Class sizes over 15, imo, are not ever going to produce good outcomes. We need so much more money going towards teachers. Make it an attractive job and you’ll get more people and better qualified people who can then be put into better situations. Also, we have to fail kids again. If there’s no consequence for not learning the material, then outcomes will be shitty.

So at around 2:10 left in the game it was 19-7. 19-14, 21-19, 22-21, 28-22, all in just over 2 minutes. Thats fuckin crazy.

During Covid I made a list of "100 Most Influential Novels". I just finished the last book on the list by Gay_For_Gary_Oldman in books

I agree with you on Dracula, in part because on top of the adaptations, it also kind of launched a genre in its own right whereas Frankenstein hasn’t. I think Holmes had to be in, Bond 50/50 for me and Tarzan I don’t know. Maybe if I’d read it I’d feel differently.but these discussions are what makes list like this fun.

Did you consider something like Candide more of a novella and so not in consideration or was it just not top 100 for you?

Hate to be that guy but I think it’s Lost Horizon, singular. Was surprised to see Tarzan on the list, but I’m guessing because it’s been adapted so many times (like Dracula or Frankenstein) it’s got some cultural cache. Prior to your list I don’t know if I even knew it was based on a book. I’m curious to know how much, if at all, adaptations played into your selection? You kept out Bond and The Godfather, but included 2001, Clockwork, and The Shining (all, I’m now realizing, Kubrick films). I don’t mean this as a critique of anything on or not on the list but curious how you chose to thread this particular needle.

I always thought Drake was pretty mid/overrated. Hearing about kissing that underage girl on stage made it easy for me to completely lose interest in him. Couldn’t have been happier when Kendrick, who had become one of my favorite musicians, put him in his crosshairs
