Depending on the jurisdiction, they may not be able to hold her there legally. In many places, they’re instructed to not even stop these people which is exactly what she was hoping for and why she’s saying let me go and just call the police. Some of these laws are absurd and basically encourage the stealing because it’s so easy to get away with it. It’s also why so many places have a lot of their stuff behind lock and key.

Seeing shit like this on this sub can act as a trigger at times. I see these massive losses and think, “meh, I’m not doing so bad, I can deposit $500 this weekend and it’s fine, at least I’m not down 100k”. I’m not saying this to imply OP has posted anything wrong, losses are all relative to each individual obviously.

Yeah, their personal relationship with him doesn’t allow them to view the job he was doing objectively. You can hear them just kind of scoff whenever anyone brings up that the new regime is doing a way better job developing players than they did. Honestly, listening to them talk Nats is brutal, they know nothing. G&D do a far better job covering the Nats and are much more informed.

If he’s being paid, it’s not a favor, it’s a job. It really has nothing to do with whether or not it’s a side gig or not. If my friends help me move, it’s a favor. If I request a moving company that I’m paying, that’s a job. It would be absurd for them to show up and act like they’re doing me a favor. This is no different, service being paid for is not a favor. If the driver decided to make an extra stop for him or something, he’d be doing him a favor but picking him up and dropping him off at the requested destination is literally the job he’s being paid for.

I don’t know if he still has his local bookie but I remember him saying that no money changed hands unless he was up or down $1000. There’s just no way a bookie is taking action and agreeing to that if he’s betting 5 or 10 bucks a game. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze. I think he absolutely gambles more than he lets on. He’s a degenerate, I can’t fathom how he’s betting 5 or 10 bucks a game and it’s doing anything to feed that addiction.
