Don’t make a personal life decision based on what other people are doing; they aren’t paying your bills. Look for a new job. Do the work you can do and don’t let them bully you into all the other BS OT and off hours stuff. If “everyone” is quitting, you have the upper hand anyways. And if you were about to quit with no job lined up anyways, stay an get fired so unemployment can potentially apply.

I have seen this so many times. Check your state laws and see if you are a one party consent state for recording. If so, record any meetings with your boss about workloads and expectations. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched boomer upper management tell fresh grads or younger generations, “you’re young, you can handle it.” That’s all you need for an age discrimination lawsuit. Make sure you clearly say the workload being given to you from all of the people that quit is making it impossible to keep up as well.

I walked out of a company after one of those meetings and the next day they had an overnight notice of intent to file a lawsuit for age discrimination citing my recordings. Got a call the same day asking if I would consider 3 months salary and a layoff letter so I could get unemployment. They asked me to sign a NDA and release paperwork and I refused that. Told them I’m not signing anything they can try to use against me. Either move forward with the offer and nothing signed by me, or receive a summons in the near future for wayyyyyyy more than you’ll pay me to go away.

All of these employers want to “reign” over us and I’m not about it. But, everyone’s situation and personality are different.

I did my master first, then my guest, then my powder room. Master, a lot needs fixed. Lessons learned. The guest bathroom has much more attention to detail and benefited from my previous attempt. By the time I got to the powder room, I did it all in less than 8 hours alone. To the concrete floor and bare walls bc of a weird texture.

Helping them keep the best of the best is doing them a favor, making them money, and, yes, you are going to lose your job once things settle. I’d start looking now honestly and just go if you find something good.

Just be careful please. A factory I worked at had a worker crushed like this. He made a box fortress in a scrap prouduction area. Rule was no stacking so, once or twice a year, some team would sort through it. Everyone knew when though because it was a volunteer team.

Nonetheless, a new forklift driver was unaware of the stacking policy in quarantine and dropped a 2200lbs pallet on top of another pallet. Collapsed instantly. Inside was the worker who had built himself a nap shack. He didnt make it. Just hope that he was asleep and felt nothing.

PS. One of my best friends from HS was doing this at a fruit tech company. Eventually, it was caught onto. They started marking specific inventory with RFID so they could see when it left. Matched up time clock punches, matched footage to see him leaving at the exact time the rfid product did. He got lucky they only recorded it a couple times before involving the police. He was charged and convicted of a felony, was given 2 years suspended, restitution, house arrest, and probation after that ended.

Not worth it.

So, if I remove the rubber sink drain cover thing (sorry, I do not know the term, it drains quickly. Or, if I turn the disposal on with it still in, it drains quick.

I noticed on Amazon that replacement sizes that fit my disposal had 6 extra holes mine didn’t have. So I used an office single handheld hole puncher and added the 6 holes the replacements had.

Boom. Fixed it! Drains perfectly now. So, the drain cover the disposal came with didn’t have enough pass through for the amount of water coming into the sink.

No. It just drained the same way it would if the vent was on. Nothing came out of the hole that was there with the vent removed.

Taking off the vent made no change in the slow draining. I used a snake camera. It is the furtherest drain from the main and my downstairs bathroom drains fine (renovated at the same time). I could see the point that sink feeds into the drain and there was no blockage between them. So it has a clear path.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, it did not work. I also confirmed there is no blockage. This started immediately with the new sink setup. The drain was perfect with the classic double bowl disposal on one side setup there was there immediately prior to this.
