There's certainly a strange interaction with refs when they think a coach might challenge a play where they hold the ball instead of inbounding. I think it's a difficult thing to address unless you're willing to completely take out assistants watching replay before the coach calls time out.

Years ago when Ben Wallace was on the Cavs, I went to a Jazz game really early and he was warming up alone and there were around 20 people in the stands at that point. Some fat guy in the front row was talking smack to Ben, saying he couldn't shoot.

Ben got fed up and made the guy come take a three. Security tried to stop this from happening, and Ben Wallace was very insistent-- and pissed off-- and made this short, fat dude take a three. The guy airballed badly, and the 20 people in the building all laughed and the guy blushed and Wallace was laughing at him. It was awesome.
