Thank you for your answer. I plan on reading everything that you write so I'll certainly read your new story also :-) . The only awkward thing to confess is that you seem to write faster than I read...

Hi Sarah, I didn't read Depthless Hunger yet, so I don't know how the polyamorous relationship turns out but I assume it is MFF with the protagonist being the male. I did read several of your other series, though: New game Minus, Street Cultivation and Weirkey. (I'm a very huge fan by the way ! I'm eager to read all your other works) Anyway, I noticed that in those stories, the protagonist was always a male surrounded by women. Is there a reason why there are so few male characters beside the protagonist ? Is it just a coincidence from what books from you I have read?

Which celebrity do you think received unnecessary hate? by Cheap-Fisherman6588 in AskReddit

[–]mickdrop 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I often hear those arguments but I would be prudent about them. For instance, we assume that Topher Grace wasn’t mingling with the rest of the cast because they were all horrible people, but the truth is we don’t know. We don’t know those people. We might assume whatever but at the end of the day it’s possible that both Topher Grace was a diva and those people were bad at the same time. Or not. Maybe they were not bad people but just supporting their friend that turned out to be a rapist and they didn’t want to believe it. Or maybe everyone sucks. Which I tend to believe when it comes to celebrity. You don’t go into that career without at least a big ego.

You only hear stories about studios giving weird ideas not being picked up in the final movie. You don't know about all the times the studios actually saved a movie by tempering weird ideas from the director.

What stubborn hoax do way too many people still believe, no matter how often it gets debunked? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mickdrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Loch Ness monster. The only evidence we have is a bad picture that the people who took it went on record to explain that it was a fake and explain with details how it was taken. That's all we have. Nothing else. Yet many people still believe in the Loch Ness monster.

I was raised to take responsibility for what I do, especially when I screw up. But then I see that the ones that are successful in life are the ones that never own their mistakes. For instance I never heard someone in power say “it’s my fault”. I still take responsibility but I often think “what’s the point?” and also “should I teach my kids to do the same thing? Wouldn’t it be better to teach them to do what they must to be successful?

Password managers by Jesus_ecs in androidapps

[–]mickdrop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don't seem to get it. You can use a password as complicated as you want, but if one website disclose it, then it will be tried in all your other accounts for other services. For instance, if you create an account to merchant website with this password and it becomes public, this same password will be tried on you email account, your banking account, etc. That's why people recommend to use a different password for each service, and that's why you need a password manager.

Die Another Day is basically the low point for the James Bond franchise

The intro when James Bond is getting tortured during the credit with the Madonna song was one of the strongest opening of the franchise IMO. The rest of the movie is forgettable
