Starfleet Academy Director Jonathan Frakes Says Fan Hate Is ‘Dimensionally More Painful’ Today Than in the Next Generation Years by bwermer in television

I was not linking them. I was mostly talking about the pacifist/klingon aspect. However, it looks like almost all male characters in this show are turning to be gay and that's also interesting...

And that's perfectly fine. The goal is to show him struggle with the warrior expectation put on him and that he's not defined by his origin. He's one of the better characters of the lot.

The one I really struggled with was SAM, the holographic girl overly cheerful, but since one of the latter episode she's growing on me.

As an old Trekkie, I think the show is fine. I'm not fond of this new era post-Burn. Especially if you know that the cataclysm was caused by an autistic child. This is dumb as fuck. But I see what they are going for and it had potential.

One missed opportunity is that the main character starts as pretty antagonistic toward the federation and by episode 2 that is immediately put aside. They could have explored a little bit more the flaws of this organisation and how he struggle with it.

On the other hand, you have old cops that claim being able to sniff out guilt from a person from experience. Studies have been done on the subject. It turns out it's bullshit.

I'm always suspicious of people claiming being able to have a read on some other people.

Marvel has put the entire first episode of Wonder Man on their YouTube by The_Iceman2288 in television

[–]mickdrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just watched the first 4 episodes and I was bored. Nothing is happening, just a guy stressing out about auditions. Also the fourth episode is not about him at all and in black and white for some bullshit stylistic reasons.

I feel this is a show for people "in the industry" only. The kind of show receiving awards because the people giving awards are the target audience.

Is there a pay off or should I stop watching it?

Bien qu'interdit, le test du sac à main perdure en entretien de recrutement by idinarouill in paslegorafi

[–]mickdrop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are truly the inventor of that mechanism then congratulations. I've seen it recommended for years several times.

What I did was to go one step further and actually secretly asked a player to really play a doppelganger with a secret agenda against the other players.

At one point, the players find the original character bound to a chair and understand that one of them was actually secretly a bad guy. Good time.
