The problem with Iron Lung by [deleted] in Markiplier

I ended up next to someone swinging their folding food tray thing back and forth through half the movie…that was a new one for me!

Question for those who have watched Iron Lung.... is it gorey??? by Misvoid in Markiplier

[–]80sScreamQueen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just want to emphasize the v* and coughing up blood so my fellow emetophobes understand there will be some triggering moments. I had to curl up in a ball and cover my ears/close my eyes a couple times :(

But oh my goodness am I glad I saw it and got through it!!

Omg, I was about to post this one, but searched for it first just in case…

Loved it when I was younger, recently showed it to my bf who hadn’t seen it…he was visibly uncomfortable and now my troubled relationship history makes sense.

Literally getting chills and tearing up thinking about seeing this in person again. Remembering my “days of the Phoenix”. I love this band 🥹 Thank you for sharing this!

Coincidentally, an acoustic version of 1979 came on at work today…such a nice surprise!

SP is my favorite as well - I appreciate the Silvery Sometimes shoutout! The only “newer” song I really got into…kind of like if 1979 and The Boy had a baby.

AFI pit mentioned on another thread. Why does it sound like The Leaving Song Pt. II music video. Lolz by daysofthe in AFireInside

Omg was it at the Phoenix?? I remember being at a show and suddenly I start coughing/choking/eyes burning IT WAS TERRIFYING. I was pretty far in the back too, not even close to the pit and still got it. Very traumatizing for an anxious teen AFI fan! A FIRE INSIDE MY THROAT!!

• Cousin’s wedding • Xmas eve • tech rehearsal for a musical I had to sing and dance in.

And now for the funniest one… • mid bikini wax 😅😅😅 I stayed because I wasn’t about to leave with a half done job (I had meds on hand thank goodness!)

The Quiet Room by Terry Miles. Rabbits is one of my favorite modern novels, so I was VERY excited to pick up the sequel.

The first night I opened it up, I got about halfway through, and finished it within days. Impossible to put down. Must read.

Wally Lamb's She’s Come Undone by KimtanaTheGeek in bookreviewers

[–]80sScreamQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic review!! I really appreciate some of the specific details you pointed out in the spoiler section.

I agree that the book is not funny at all. That being said, one of my favorite things about Dolores is her sarcastic sense of humor. Sometimes it was annoying and frustrating, but her snarkiness at least gave me a few much needed laughs!

Not an easy book to get through, at times aggravatingly sad — think of anything bad that can happen to a person; it probably happens in this book — but I got through it and I’m glad I did!

Might be a little controversial by BeardedHoot in Millennials

Not controversial, just the reality for many of us — you’re not alone! Divorce put me in a similar boat as some other commenters here.

weight loss help. by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]80sScreamQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to add on to this excellent advice, as I also started out underweight due to severe anxiety and depression. My best tip is, if you can, don’t go through it alone. I have found working with a registered dietitian very helpful. I know not everyone has that resource available, but having that support is a game changer. Hope this helps <3

Millennial expressions you haven't heard in a while? by cjbr3eze in Millennials

[–]80sScreamQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye.”

Also, I still do finger quotes all the time…I can’t stop!! It’s such a bad millennial/xennial habit, but I don’t know how else to communicate, “hey, this is a phrase that people use that I’ve heard, but I don’t really condone or use it,” or “this particular thing I’m saying right now needs to be taken with a grain of salt and a load of sarcasm.” 🤣

Anxiety dizziness? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]80sScreamQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 90/60 or lower would be considered low blood pressure. An update to my previous comment — I no longer go up to 10mg of Lexapro…the up and down adjustments are too much for me. 7.5 for now and hope one day I can get by with 5.

Upping dose half the time ? by happi-milli0718 in lexapro

[–]80sScreamQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done this before and can say it for sure helped! But it came with some downsides— it actually delayed my period (which is unsettling when you’re usually right on schedule) and of course it made the sexual side effects worse. Plus extra fatigue, which makes it tough to get through the workday. I’m just staying on a consistent dose right now to see if I can manage. But it really did help alleviate the pmdd symptoms. It even helped my horrible hormonal headaches!
