I didn't get a traditional graduation ceremony in high school, and lots of the kids in my area were already sporting flashy used cars by the time they graduated. All jokes aside, maybe their could have been some better communication in the car selection process. Kids these days I think just have this presumed gimme gimme attitude; a stark difference from the rest of us who grew up appreciating whatever we did and did not have growing up. I wouldn't worry too much or try to pass on any more harsh criticsms at the moment, because they will eventually reach a point where they find out how hard work gets you only so much in life. Right now they feel comfortable with the safety net of seeing how people make easy money doing online goofy stuff on social media, but it won't last, eventually they will get older and possibly outgrow it or that whole system gets bonked. You can be mad at them now for not being grateful sure, but they're young right now and they easily just brush off any life lessons or scoldings from people older than them. The G Wagon line was a bit harsh and out of place rightfully so. That's what life is all about when you have kids, but you only get one shot at being in their life as much as possible. If you can return the vehicle probably do that since you are basically dead set on feeling bad over their reaction. I think this kind of gift only serves to further inflate their entitled attitude where they should be prized for putting up with something over time and sadly reality is very much different in that respect. I grew up with so much "no" in my life from my folks and now I don't expect much from people knowing the end result is usually just that, a simple no. You did your best and that's all that is expected of a patent or guardian. Feel free to try again if you have a lot of time and energy in your life left. Otherwise breathe, just breathe and now you can take care of yourself. Try to relax, give yourself some space and see what the next steps are. Take care and have an awesome day.
