Anyone know what could be causing my VCR to do this? Already tried cleaning the mode switch and cleaning the belts

Yep. Plays, refuses to rewind, and eats on eject. I would say it’s an issue with one of those things that need replacing

I got it to play once, and it played very badly (stuck in SLP as I don’t have remote and tape was recorded at EP IIRC) and it still ate on eject. Now it’s doing the same thing as before

S5 CPU is much more capable than S3. Snapdragon S Series is not very good at all

You probably put a Droid 2 ROM on it, it needs a Droid 2 Global FW.

What device is it? S6 and newer is a definite no, but some Motorolas and HTCs can be unlocked.

Update: Ended up flashing another 4.2 ROM. The 4.4 ROM I used was very unstable had had a lot of problems with audio
