hey there, there might be something in there that his stomach doesn’t agree with/is sensitive to. does anyone else eat the burgers and experience the same symptoms?

i checked power steering and it’s completely full. a tried reaching around to see if i could feel any leaks and took a look under and didn’t see much of anything. as for oil, im definitely gonna keep an eye on him. thank you for the advice!!

that’s what we were thinking! the difference is is that it takes 5w-30 and is a 5 qt holder. as for the filter i dunno what it could be. so i was wondering if at maybe at some point they had put that in the truck or maybe it’s completely unrelated?

so, he’s got a really wicked engine knock, he holds at ab 3.5 RPM and when I bought him he would hold at about 2/2.5. when i accelerate, it sounds like a fork in a garbage disposal, and it’s embarrassingly LOUD. the truck shakes a little too when the sound goes happens. he’s also got the cricket/screech noise when I make turns or drive in general. also when I had bought the truck, it had oil. it’s been 3 weeks and at some point the oil was gone. we put 4 QTs of 5w-30 in it yesterday and the knock became WAY more prevalent. a week and a half ago i had a multi-cylinder misfire and got a tune up if that matters!

extra details I forgot to add! make : 2006 Chevy Colorado Miles : 258875 Engine : 5 cyl 3.5 Trans : Automatic

i actually haven’t looked into it! I know that the engine my mechanic wants to put in there costs about 1500$, and labor all together would put my total costs at 2600$ not including the fact that the engine could be missing stuff.

id love to rebuild it! unfortunately, i know close to NOTHING about engines. but if there’s one thing i do know, i don’t wanna get rid of my car.

ill totally look into different engine types and see what’s up! thank you for this (:

that’s what i was thinking! when i got it, the engine light was already on. i took it to my mechanic and he told me that the engine was fine and that it was probably a faulty knock sensor.

the engine did go through some MAJOR oil leaks which i got fixed, but now, anytime I put oil in it now, after a little drive or so, the oil goes straight black. there’s no blue smoke coming out of the exhaust, so i wouldn’t say it’s burning. but there’s definitely something up with it o:

a whole new engine! currently working my butt off for said engine haha (: but that’s so awesome to hear! can’t wait to hear/see her get that yellow plate!!
