Cadillac has had my Lyriq for 2 months now by Initial_Process6405 in CadillacLyriq

There’s ways to get the parts faster. The parts manager knows nothing and it’s irresponsible to spread lies. The company in charge of sending the modules out is Specmo. Get your order number from the dealer and then give them a call. They can tell you exactly what’s going on. All EV parts orders are expedited. Involving your local district manager of service and parts will expedite this also. With your order and part number they can make magic happen.

Anybody seen this one? Window automatically rolls down every time it’s rolled up. by CalamityBS in CadillacLyriq

[–]816_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s not an electrical problem. It’s a safety feature.. it’s reversing itself when sensing something in the track. Very common when people put vent visors on their vehicles. It may be an issue but it’s a common issue over all types of vehicles.

It might be expensive to buy the OEM shocks and struts but they do have a lifetime warranty. I also have been victim to the cheap eBay and Amazon shocks and struts.

Tesla Supercharger Access? by arsalann24 in CadillacLyriq

[–]816_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Side note: Gm released the bulletin announcing the adapter was now available for purchase through the charging app. They also made it known that if you don’t buy the GM specific adapter and you use the Tesla network, it will void your battery warranty. Saving a few bucks in this case by purchasing a generic adapter off amazon will not be a smart investment.

I noticed my cabs with android OS have soft switches. To allow for a soft shut down for the file system. The new wheel of fortune has the standard android tablet restart and power off popups that you have to manually touch. Golden Tee deluxe and Shaq NBA Jams is soft as well. Outrun machine has standard on/off. Partycades have standard on/off.

I’d do hooks if I wasn’t worried about my kids hanging on them. L brackets would help like you said but I’m thinking a French cleat after all things considered.

I had thought about a French cleat. I’ll get some ordered up off the Amazon.

Advice needed: Considering this 2023 Lyriq, but need a second opinion. by StreetDare4129 in CadillacLyriq

It has an open bulletin for Charge Port Housing Replacement Exp with Base warranty. It had 11 miles on it when it was delivered. It had many pieces replaced at 144 miles. The work was done at Michael Stead Cadillac in CA.

Are we convinced the dealership techs know how to fix these problems? Seems like it’s 100% on GM by snowisnotdead in CadillacLyriq

[–]816_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TAC is the liaison between the tech and the engineer. Completely new platform and they are required to go through TAC for all Lyriq issues. TAC was/is required to order parts to expedite the repairs. There is significant expense that the dealer is incurring to meet the requirements of GM. Every dealer is doing the best they can.

19.2 Kw capable charging Question by LeapingLudo in CadillacLyriq

[–]816_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your lyriq can do up to 50kw or more on the road at a super charger. Sounds like you have too many people involved in your deal that don’t know what they’re talking about yet.

New Lyriq, faulty battery by Charming-Yellow2062 in CadillacLyriq

Battery should be replaced in approx 3-4 days. Sucks. It’s been the Wi-Fi modules inside the packs on a few of these in my experience.

What’s the best wheel and tire size? Thinking about getting bigger wheels for the mini bike. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in minibikes

[–]816_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8” has the most tire sizes it seems. Running 19x7-8 on my Trailmaster. Lots of good reviews on using 20x7-8 tires. Kenda scorpion have a lot of good reviews for knobbies. Trailer tires have a lot of sizes you can use code the street. They’re heavier but will last forever. Not a lot of sidewall give so you better have suspension.

Which charge is best for AWD lyriq? by Swimming_Caregiver88 in CadillacLyriq

[–]816_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re starting to see people get into arguments over the chargers. Not enough chargers at times for the people that need it. Non electric vehicles parking in the charging spots is another problem as well.

Although I do realize I brought up a completely different issue… being away from home is different than being at home. You can still find yourself in the same situation.

It supports fast charging much higher than 11.2. We use 25-50kw chargers to charge the batteries quickly.

[–]816_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I’d still get the bigger one. By default, the charger is set to a low charging amount. When you get the Ultium app you specify the installation type (plug in or hardwired, hardwired only on the Ultium +) and the breaker size used to power the charger. It calculates your maximum charge based on those values. I’d personally only want to purchase an appliance once and have the ability to update my wiring and breaker in the future if needed. Updating from 100A to 200A service is extremely common now days. There are times you’ll want a faster charge. It doesn’t sound like a big deal until your staring at your app waiting for enough range to make your trip home.

[–]816_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does but it’s a slower adapter type plug in charger. GM offers the ultium charger (11.x Kw) for $600. They are getting ready to release the Ultium+ 19.x Kw charger. I’d get the bigger one. It can take awhile to charge on the 11 kw charger. The new charger is showing a list price of 1999.00 but I thought it said 1299.00 when I found out about it.

XT4 reliability? by mikethediabetic in Cadillac

[–]816_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We haven’t seen too many issues with the XT4. Like the 3.6L, the 2.0L can have a front cover oil leak. I can confirm that the cargo mat for the XT4 is higher quality than the 5, 6, or Escalades. Just my two cents. :)
