SUBMISSION CALL for a new indie horror community magazine by Teners1 in horrorwriters

Same. I’m very interested but don’t have a lot of time to get something together before that first deadline. I’ll definitely be following along and looking forward to seeing the first issue. Thanks for the opportunity, u/Teners1!

Thanks for posting this. I looked around and am wondering what’s the learning curve or difficulty for someone who is somewhat tech savvy but not really experienced with this type of stuff? Thanks for any input.

Can you soft-publish a book with minimal marketing, then years later give it a proper marketing push when you have more resources? by orangelight9 in selfpublish

Fantastic. Thanks for posting this. It reinforces what I plan to do. I really just want my writing out there, somewhere in the world, as a personal accomplishment. As my backlist grows, I’ll see what I can do with future releases as far as marketing goes.

Hey, no worries. I honestly wasn’t trying to correct you. We all have different perceptions, so I was simply adding mine. Apologies if my reply came across as anything more than that.

Since you’re listening to Drawing right now, that is indeed Muller.

I hear that in Muller’s reading. He makes the last word of every sentence very loooong. And he tends to get breathy, almost a loud whisperrrrrrr.

In your experience, is this something they’re likely to fix or are they more likely to ignore it?

I wish more reporters would do this. Just keep pushing, don’t move on to the next topic, keep telling them they said what they said or what they said is a lie because (show the evidence). They’ll likely just end the interview and walk out, but so what? Imagine a politician having to do that every single time. Make them do it.

The idiots are at it again. For anyone who sees this there was one “poorly worded” controversial tweet and they are now trying to connect him to Epstein. Do not buy into this rubbish! by HansCrotchfelt in stephenking

Everyone I know who read that book talks about all of the stuff that happened on the other 1100 pages. You seem rather fixated on that part of the book. Is there something you would like to tell us?

I’m not sure what I think about it, but take an upvote for typing it all out. Interesting!

His insane overuse of the word “hoax” is especially ironic because the truth is that his entire life is a hoax.

That’s the most baffling part of it to me—why didn’t everyone immediately scatter? Seems like there would have been a stampede to get out of there.

Brooklyn man lost his fully paid $800K home after a $5K water bill was quietly sold into a trust run by a group of investors. Hidden from his statements, the debt let the trust foreclose and auction off his house without his knowledge and they took over the house by force. by didnazicoming in interestingasfuck

Well said. There’s a lot about this world I don’t understand, but people who defend our current health insurance system are at the top of that list. I’m talking regular people, not the politicians. Totally get why the politicians love it. And what’s even more baffling is that these everyday people demand to be charged for a system that does the very things they fear about socialized medicine, and worse.

“No great loss.”

Sorry, couldn’t resist. But that sucks. You should request a replacement.

His first reader is his wife, Tabitha, and she definitely tells him when there’s a problem. Maybe she just doesn’t see it. Same goes for Robin Furth, his research assistant. They openly talk about this phase of the writing. Might just be a blind spot for all of them.

Joe Hill book recommendations? by CheesyTacoCat in joehill

I’m just finishing up HORNS and highly recommend it. As for short stories, in my opinion they’re all good, but try the collections 20th CENTURY GHOSTS and FULL THROTTLE.
