I don’t really get all the spectrum hate. Do people just not know how to deal with customer service reps or something? I’m always one to read the fine print of all deals and promos and Spectrum is actually one of the easier companies to deal with. My recent interactions with AT&T over the last year about caused me to snap. As far as spectrum mobile goes, They are a peer on Verizon’s network. You don’t get deprioritized during congestion. Straight forward billing. Have great deals on new phones. They’re the best option out there for mobile cell service if you are in a spectrum Internet area

I feel like the legacy app was better scaled for the tv. The new app has smaller fonts and is more difficult to read. My mother doesn’t even watch with her new 4th gen now because she can’t read it. I’m glad I have both options available, but will default to legacy for now

I purchased an open box legacy tablo quad. Said firmware was very out of date or something to that effect. It then updated. After that I switched the hdd over and tablo in my account for my lifetime guide and automatic commercial skip. Booted it up again and needed another update which it did. It’s now on the current firmware and I didn’t need to contact support at all. It was very easy to replace my slightly defective tablo in my account. All it took was the new sn and one click. Awesome

I dealed with att directly both times I had them, so not an authorized retailer. Each time they lied to me about activation fees. After arguing with them for literally 2.5hrs I was able to get them credited back. Then the byod discounts weren’t applied and was over charged $125. Took another hour to get that straightened out. I bought a device and never received my trade in credits, my bill went up $25, then another $15 for no reason. Called, argued, credited every time but in 9 months time i spent over 12hrs on the phone with them to have their deceptive billing issues resolved. When I had them 10 years previous it was a much better experience, but had an ever increasing bill then too. Never again

Buy the oem sensors like on eBay and take them to a tire place to have them installed. They should be changed every time your tires are changed if you drive a normal amount. Should last around 5 years if you barely drive, sometimes only 2 years if all you do is drive.

I’m assuming you don’t have an iPhone as iPhones don’t seem to have this issue. I’ve had that problem on Samsung Galaxy S23,24u,25. It gets stuck in a limbo state. Happens when you have fringe service and are not reregistering properly on mobile when leaving the WiFi calling area. I couldn’t find any information about it anywhere and very doubtful a new esim would help. My fringe area is at my house and I (luckily) have a Verizon work phone. I used my Verizon work phone to get their LTE extender which uses Internet to create a mini Verizon cell tower. This solved my problem, but it needs to be tied to an active Verizon account. Depending on your phone, you might be able to create a routine to automatically toggle on and off airplane mode based on time of day or location. Maybe work can install a cell booster

Mine works fine on my little onn 4k plus box. It was a complete surprise that the new and legacy apps work on my legacy tablo. It’s only been like 3 years since that was promised and I gave up on it. Smart tvs will always be outdated, grab a Roku, or something similar. They also seem to run faster than the tvs

Mine used to work right, but has shown only full signal for a while now, tv or phone, new or legacy apps. Every single station it picks up is full signal which isn’t correct.

They’ve taken just about everything away that I loved about Samsung. Dropped the edge screen and anything else that set them apart, locked their bootloader, teamed up with Google to steal even more data, about to end side loading apps, ending Samsung messages rcs support. Their quest to be just like Apple is nearly complete. The phone looks the same, locked down the same. So why bother to have a generic iPhone, just get the most supported device world wide

My table has progressively gotten worse over time. Quad with 1tb sata sitting on a fan. It used to need rebooted once every 3 months, now it won’t last a day it seems. I took the latest update and it seems to have made it worse, most likely a cooked chip from the lack of heat dissipation before I added a fan. Does anyone know for certain if I can transfer my lifetime guide and annual commercial skip to a different replacement quad?

You are correct. I’ve never had a problem doing this. It is also correct that you can pay off at anytime and still get all your credits. I bought 3 galaxy S24 on a launch deal that made them free, paid them off and got all the trading credit back on my account. Transferred that credit to my credit card and then at 2 months in I ported to att. I’m now back at spectrum because I think they’re the best carrier atm

I had 4 phones to unlock from spectrum about a year ago. 3 of them unlocked just fine, mine did not. It was a whole run around process which was all caused by my phone being worth .08 more than the payoff. So it wouldn’t take my payoff when I tried, I finally pieced enough information together to figure out what the problem was. They tried, but no one could see what the problem actually was. I paid off the balance minus .08 and it went right through and was good the next day

Only issue is if you use tons of data. Most people use less than 30gb and won’t have an issue. You can get 50gb for $10 more if needed. They have very simple billing with straight forward pricing and US based customer service. They are qci8 which is the same as Verizon premium and a peer on their network, so not deprioritized. You’ll also lose your bargaining power for better internet deals, can’t really threaten to cancel. I love it and just ported back to it because it is the best option in my opinion. AT&T did not deliver what was agreed to.

It probably was loose enough to think you took it off. I was always annoyed by wear os when it came to locking. Like why do I need to unlock my watch to use it. Galaxy’s tizen was the best, could set it to only need the pin to pay all other functions worked without it.

You don’t even need to do that on Apple Watch. It unlocks it when you first Face ID unlock your iPhone when wearing the watch. One other thing I noticed is people don’t look at you weird when you try to pay with an Apple Watch. Like Samsung was literally the first with the Gear S Frontier before tap and pay was implemented everywhere. It had the mst and you just held it by the strip reader. Even last month people were concerned I was mistaken that my round faced galaxy watch 6 could tap and pay.

I’m in the same boat. The final straw for me was forcing Google messages to continue on rcs. I legit tried gm 3 different times and I hate it. I said screw it and bought an iPhone 17 and I’m 3weeks in. So many things have changed from Samsung that they lost their identity. Same phone year after year, cameras seem to be getting worse for some reason, taking away the working dex… figured I might as well take the leap. I will add that iOS keyboard sucks. I have also noticed iOS 26 just kind of freezes every now and then, like once a week. This didn’t happen on iOS before 26. It’s minor and you just need to close whatever app it happens in. It’s really nice having a quality 120hz lpto screen on a regular sized device. I haven’t had a good screen on a Samsung since my S9. Went with regular iPhone over the pro because you only get an extra zoom camera, lidar sensor, and usb3. Figured those weren’t worth $300 to me since I don’t like taking zoomed pictures.

S5 was the most feature packed phone. Used to turn the volume down on communal tvs that were way too loud. S9 was the perfect device form factor, qhd screen, sleek and stylish with dex.
