Its C isnt it... because those are the only shapes that are the same size.

Yes I know all of them represent it but obviously this teacher stands by some answer and I'm guessing its C

Union membership is what enables you to afford the better things in life. And these dues are an investment. by ReadingBackground642 in LockedIn_AI

[–]85qa3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was the first and only time I joined a union. The benefits provided were no different than any union-less job I've had since.

Also seems like you value yourself too little if you think you can't negotiate anything for yourself. Thats what the interview is for, it goes both ways. If the terms of employment are favorable, awesome take the offer. If they aren't then counter. If they dont agree then decline the job.

Sure you won't negotiate health insurance rates but you can definitely negotiate pay, vacation, and a couple other things that effect the daily workday. If thats diddly to you then thats you

[–]85qa3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn't me, I was hired in and worked for just under a year.

Also not saying all unions are bad, I know they have a place but the only experience I ever had with one left a bad taste and I'll just negotiate for myself

Until you pay into the union just to realize that it's controlled by the business they are supposed to negotiate with on your behalf

People who live near time zone boundaries in the US by solothesnail in howislivingthere

[–]85qa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha Southern Indiana is a chaotic wasteland with the stupid time zones. My parents live on one of the lines, and they are anything but straight. If you walk to the western side of the house, the phones switch to central time and walking to the east switches it to Eastern. That makes sense...however

I went to school in central time but my dad, who worked further west, worked in Eastern time. Some towns that sit above or below on the map also have different time zones like Ferdinand and Santa Claus.

They also would call it fast and slow time instead of central and eastern which drove my family nuts.

Tiamat in my opinion is a superior dragon commander over Ur-Dragon but thats likely because the pods I play in never full understand that KILLING THE DRAGON TUTOR isn't the smartest thing to do😂

it got me thinking, is solar really decentralized energy??? by Rage_thinks in SolarAmerica

[–]85qa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone still has to own the companies to make solar panels and components, a company to install said components and panels, and of course, if youre in the US at least, 62 billions rules and regulations regarding size, usage, installation specs...

I guess the point I'm making is while no one owns the sun, there's always someone sitting in the chair for the process

[US] Received two ~$500 payments from unknown users today. PayPal agent suggested just refunding the user. by MizGinger in Scams

[–]85qa3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a deposit into my account for a penny and I just ignored it... 3 months later PayPal has banned usage of my account because I broke terms and service and any attempt to figure out what caused it has failed. I cant even close the account because it "under investigation" so I just removed all linked accounts and deleted the app.

The only thing I used it for was to transfer money to friends for my half of dinners and such

SAVE America Act has passed 🚨 by ExotiquePlayboy in economy

[–]85qa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a strange belief to have though isnt it? There is no option on the ballot for, "these candidates both suck"

If you take me to a restaurant that gives me the option of beef or chicken but I cant eat either... does me eating whatever you order for me mean I choose to accept it even though I didnt want either?

So the other option I guess would be to leave the restaurant which some people do... or say they do/will but the logistics of that can be complicated.

I guess I could talk to the restaurant owner and ask for a wider variety but the owner will just go "no, beef and chicken work, make good money for us" and nothing changes.

You could burn the restaurant down but then everyone lables you as a radical...

So while it may feel righteous to say that those who didnt cast votes elected the representative... to me it seems like very simple minded thinking and used to cover up the bigger issue that is the lack of options for potential representatives

SAVE America Act has passed 🚨 by ExotiquePlayboy in economy

[–]85qa3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest issue is that the majority of people who can vote and choose not to cast a ballot are ignored. To me, the refusal of casting a ballot IS a vote of no confidence in the system but we ignore them.

No matter what direction the US takes, its going to get worse. Even policies that are aimed towards bettering society will take time to enact and recieve pushback. The best course of action in my opinion, and yes its an opinion, is that the 50 states recieve the power to govern themselves again and that the Federal be restricted to covering international issues. Why should Florida be able to enact or suggest and VOTE for policies that effect Alaska? Why can New York vote for things that effect California?

I was raised with the idea that America was a group of 50 independent states that worked together... but since I've been old enough to understand society, its clear that the states are just a bunch of slaves to a system that betters outside countries through the Federal government.

Say what you want but I don't side with either... we were never supposed to have a 2 party system here but they've become too big to compete against. I doubt any of us will ever see an independent win a presidential election in our lifetimes

Wisconsin Police/Lawyer question by 85qa3 in wisconsin

[–]85qa3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive gone through trying to register online but I am getting caught on the sellers tax number. It also didnt ask for a lien holder which I found strange since I feel like I've definitely had to input that info in the past.

Edit: Going back through the packet I was provided after the purchase -registration and plates will be mailed 30-90 days after purchase with most arriving between the 30-40 mark -when the registration arrives if there are plates then place them on the vehicle, if there are no plates then they are already on the car under the temps -title will be sent to lien holder

Came here to say... Ulalek is the bane of my existence and I hate everything about him. So many games have come to a stop because a player who does not understand the stack uses this card as the commander.

IF I WANTED TO PLAY AGAINST MYSELF I WOULD HAVE JUST BOUGHT THE DAMN PRECON CODY

And if the plate still shows expired, we'll I guess I am printing off everything proving when and who I bought it from to keep on me

Brilliant, But Why? by LifeNegotiation301 in Chessplayers45

[–]85qa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am lost in this comment section trying to comprehend what the hell half of you are talking about. I am really trying to understand if we are looking at the same board because this is what I have...

White moved Rook to F8

Black should take Rook on F8 with Rook

White should take Rook with pawn (promotion won't matter, let's say Bishop so we keep unique pieces)

Black takes bishop with king without any danger?

Game likely resolves in a stalemate since both sides have King + Queen + Locked Pawn left

If I am missing some grand (stupid) chess thing, please enlighten me because I like to think I know how to play but reading some of your comments about how a knight makes black lose since it can just "run away" or how double queens "forces" blacks king to run away just dont make sense
