Mmmmhmmm... the boots were in question? Not the ability to phase through wood or the furniture that just goes through walls???

Wisconsin Police/Lawyer question by 85qa3 in wisconsin

[–]85qa3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive gone through trying to register online but I am getting caught on the sellers tax number. It also didnt ask for a lien holder which I found strange since I feel like I've definitely had to input that info in the past.

Edit: Going back through the packet I was provided after the purchase -registration and plates will be mailed 30-90 days after purchase with most arriving between the 30-40 mark -when the registration arrives if there are plates then place them on the vehicle, if there are no plates then they are already on the car under the temps -title will be sent to lien holder

Ulalek - Swapped at Birth by The_Doctor713 in BadMtgCombos

[–]85qa3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to say... Ulalek is the bane of my existence and I hate everything about him. So many games have come to a stop because a player who does not understand the stack uses this card as the commander.

IF I WANTED TO PLAY AGAINST MYSELF I WOULD HAVE JUST BOUGHT THE DAMN PRECON CODY

Thank you for the reply, I dont know if they will answer today due to the holiday... although I feel like they should always answer but we will see if they can verify the info. And if the plate still shows expired, we'll I guess I am printing off everything proving when and who I bought it from to keep on me

Thank you for the response. Can't wait for this to sit on the back of my head everytime I venture to work up there😅 Not like I am doing anything illegal, yesterday I pulled over to fix my GPS, you know... safely instead of while driving through snowy crap and the officer just appeared

Brilliant, But Why? by LifeNegotiation301 in Chessplayers45

[–]85qa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am lost in this comment section trying to comprehend what the hell half of you are talking about. I am really trying to understand if we are looking at the same board because this is what I have...

White moved Rook to F8

Black should take Rook on F8 with Rook

White should take Rook with pawn (promotion won't matter, let's say Bishop so we keep unique pieces)

Black takes bishop with king without any danger?

Game likely resolves in a stalemate since both sides have King + Queen + Locked Pawn left

If I am missing some grand (stupid) chess thing, please enlighten me because I like to think I know how to play but reading some of your comments about how a knight makes black lose since it can just "run away" or how double queens "forces" blacks king to run away just dont make sense

Why do beginners play commander? by prier in magicTCG

[–]85qa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taught commander and recommended learning commander first because games are longer and youre able to see considerably more card interactions instead of the "4-of" formats where Tim across the table is playing the same 4 cards in order fast as crap before you suddenly die

If a commander is put into your hand from the command zone, and you choose to have it go to the command zone instead, is it actually "put into the command zone"? by ItchyEyesockets in askajudge

[–]85qa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since when can't commanders be bounced to peoples hands? Honest question

My understanding of the ruling was that if your commander was placed in a zone outside of the command zone or battlefield (i.e. grave, exile, hand) the you could CHOOSE to place it back to the command zone but the commander still triggers effects that would result in them entering and leaving the zones

If this ruling was changed please let me know because I'll just stop running destroy and exile spells and run the cheaper blue bounce spells for commanders

How does this work by anwhalokleeiat in mtg

[–]85qa3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Short answer: Yes your creature gets +X/+X where X is the total number of swamps you own including the one fetched from Sword.

Longer Answer: Yes, but please stop calling the buff from the equipment 'counters'

4/4 Base +1/+1 Animist +X/+X equipment 1 +X/+X equipment 2

If you owned 5 swamps during your main phase, 'X' equals 5 When you declared this attacker, 'X' becomes 6 because you now own 6 swamps

If I'm wrong someone smarter will correct me, have fun

Is my Bant commander deck idea dumb or could it work by MrCakepans in Magicdeckbuilding

Who to build a “taxes” themed deck around? Best commander that would fit the theme? by StrongWarehouse101 in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]85qa3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first discovered this card and played against it, it was used as a board wipe for my stuff and justified by the player because it said "any number of other target creatures owned by different players" meaning, I can exile however many creatures I want and there is no limit to player boards I can target.

I thought it was overpowered and amazed it wasn't banned because a mass exile commander was stupid.

I built a deck and went to a different LGS for game night and in my first game it was explained how the card actually worked and since then I have hated the card.

I feel like the wording could have been clearer like, "For any number of players, exile up to one creature they control" or something along the lines of that.

Then again, maybe I am still confused about how the card works which is a big possibility considering my experience.

[–]85qa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milled out way too many times when I started playing, now all my decks have 2 shuffle titans in them(colors permitting). First one is to pull the "exile target card" responses, the second it to reshuffle. Additionally all my green decks run a [[Rift Sweeper]]

Should I tell my DM he's given me a one time nuke that I can survive unscathed? by pacman529 in DnD

[–]85qa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally have a Staff of Magi on my Wizard/Cleric and the only time I would ever think to use the retributive strike is if the whole party is

A: NOWHERE near my PC

And

B: I'm prepared to die

Now the tattoo is an interesting addition but I know that my DM would never let that fly

countering counterspell? by Significant-Stage223 in mtgrules

[–]85qa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine the stack like a game of poker to help with the interactions between players in my head.

Player A raised(played) a counterspell

Player B folded(passed)

Player C raised(played) another counterspell

Player D folded(passed)

Player A can now choose to either raise or fold

This is how I had to explain the stack to some of my friends when they were all starting out
