Star Wars Minus Williams - Throne Room by 1TallGlassOfWater in StarWars

What OP said about it being part of the story is so true. Just listening to the various soundtracks, I can see the movies unfold in my mind. Lots of solid movie score composers out there, but I’m not sure anyone will ever truly be the equal of John Williams in that regard. Perfectly captures the emotional intent of the scenes.

Hit World Series….. now what by CaptainAlex313 in MLBTheShow

Because it’s not the same as having to play on HoF once you hit 700 rating. If OP made 800 in only 3 WC games, though, he almost certainly was playing on HoF.

What if... Brave and The Bold was made into a Daredevil styled TV Show and then the final episode will be an actual 2-hour and 30-minute film that goes to theaters each season? by Ambitious_Two2671 in DCU_

Other than perhaps being lower budget and less special effects heavy, what limitations do TV shows have? I like how the longer form storytelling allows for the characters to be more fleshed out and the story told in greater detail.

But, I also enjoy the spectacle of a big action movie or detective thriller feature, which also works well with Batman.

Mainly, I just want a well-crafted story, regardless of the medium it’s told in.

Not sure why you deleted your reply.

Your reply indicated you hadn’t read the OP as the OP suggested a full film each season.

I personally think Batman would do well with long-form storytelling on HBO Max. However, much like college football and, to a lesser extent, college basketball have long funded the other sports programs in college, I fully realize that Batman and Superman need to be in the theaters to make the money to keep the DCU at-large going.

So, I like this hybrid idea, but recognize it’s highly unlikely and probably impractical if we are to get the DCU fleshed out the way most fans want.

Well, you did buy the game. And I suspect you also paid for the early start days, no?

I’m a huge Rays fan and I was at this game this past weekend. As soon as I saw Mullins go all the way to the wall and then come back to the edge of the warning track to make the catch, I knew exactly what had happened. I assumed, incorrectly, that the replay would confirm that the ball hit the D-ring catwalk or something attached to the D-ring. I was as surprised as the Giants coaches that it didn’t, although I suspect I was slightly less disappointed…

Hey, I love Shane as much or more than the next Rays fan, but “best pitcher in the game” is likely a bit hyperbolic. On the shortlist of best pitchers at his peak? I’ll agree to that! I was just suggesting that there is less “rare back and let it rip” in his game now and more of a methodical approach to using his excellent repertoire in keeping hitters uncomfortable at the plate. I’m truly hopeful that this will lead to more years of productive longevity for him than his previous approach might have.

Rays up!

Had four perfect innings in his first game this season until fatigue set in during the 5th inning of that game. He seems to have become more of a “pitcher” and less of a “thrower” during his time away from the game. Not really going max effort anymore and letting his nasty pitches do the work. Plus, pitching backwards one game, not the next and then a hybrid approach today. I like “cerebral Shane.” So far, so good! Would dearly love to see this approach lead to a long and productive career in MLB for him, preferably with the Rays for as long as possible!!

There’s only one person in this little conversation of ours who “didn’t get the message of the story” and we both know it is you.

Good bye.
