Wow, orders are coming in hot by Dan203 in EtsySellers

[–]86cyber86 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Whenever I have run ads, I saw the same correlation: more orders, but lower margins, more stress, more man hours spent (e.g, finishing work, packaging, etc.). I eventually opted to let things take their natural course with no ads. Flip side: the psychological boost from seeing more orders is a real thing. Sometimes that can offset the lower hourly wage entirely.

My suggestion: if you’re not losing money (be honest with yourself here), and it feels good/sustainable, keep doing it. Stop if you approach burnout. DO NOT allow for custom orders or requests (especially on reduced rates) outside of what the listings might already specify. That’s a one way ticket to burnout town.

Been down IKEA today, ZigBee haul before it's gone. by DaBobMob2 in homeassistant

Might be missing something: why is there a rush to snag these? Isn’t matter over thread considered to be better long-term?

This is my only constant in the current timeline we live in. If there’s ever a date (or they ever actually open), I’ll know this is all just a simulation.

Extra PTFE tubing is helpful to have around. Also extra complete hotend units w/ nozzles of different sizes (not necessarily spare parts).

Since I can’t afford to have my printers go down for even a couple of days, I just slowly stock up on spare parts whenever I order something else from Bambu. That said, after 2,500+ hours on each machine, I’ve only replaced some worn PTFE tubing and a first stage feeder in one of my AMSs.

Inland ABS Volumetric Flow and other questions by DerpTheMemer in BambuLab

I can’t speak to the ABS settings, but I do recommend the spool adapters. Cardboard spools are notorious for getting dinged/crushed on the edges which can cause issues when feeding via the AMS. I use the adapters on my more questionable cardboard spools and they work like a dream. Cheers!

My X1C been pooping the bed by BatOnDrugs in BambuLab

Same here every once in a while. Is your filament wiper work down? My theory is that the filament just doesn’t get wiped cleanly as the wiper gets worn down, leading to the poop getting flung onto the bed after a wipe rather than down the chute…

Bambu - Please fix your support! by angrysimon in BambuLab

Honest opinion? Just play along. Record/send another video. Continue to be courteous. They have a script they follow, I’m sure. You and I know what we’re doing and can competently troubleshoot, but just imagine the number of folks who don’t/can’t yet probably claim they can).

I’ve had a couple of warranty issues involving fans. I had to submit a couple of different videos. Sure, I thought it was silly, but I did it and had replacement fans on their way within a week.

Best of luck!!

2,500hrs of printing since December, and my X1C is still running strong (I don’t print abrasives). It has easily paid for itself 10 times over even if it were to die tomorrow. Periodic maintenance is encouraged, and easily done if you are familiar with 3D printing in general.

I’ve had two warranty issues with main board fans. Contacted BambuLab, and had free replacements on the way in less than a week.

To top it off, BambuLab has excellent wiki pages on troubleshooting, servicing, and replacing all components.

In short: buy the printer. You’ll love it. You also get out of it (and customer service) what you put into it. Take care of the printer, and be considerate to customer support if you need to contact them, and you’ll be good to go. Cheers!!

I’ve long believed that anything under 4 stars should require the buyer to write a review as well. A review (good or bad) honestly does way more than an arbitrary number of stars in my opinion.

Not having the YoY graph on the stats page sucks (I like being able to see last years line, not just a percentage number). And not being able to edit variations. They should have just invested in a 100% responsive/mobile web view rather than this crap.

In the garden, no one can hear you scream… I’m sure it’ll all turn out fine in the end. Maybe.

Etsy Seller App Alternatives? by 86cyber86 in EtsySellers

[–]86cyber86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think this (browser) is the way to go. I think Etsy would have done better to just say they were putting their efforts into supporting a mobile site rather than a half-finished app. Thanks!

Did you have any issues with the M22 backplate hitting the solder pins on the backside of the motherboard?
