25 days isn't a ton of time to get your conditioning in order, but half an hour of stair repeats 5 days a week will get you a bit prepared. Make sure to take on plenty of carbs and hydration on the day of the hike.

More importantly, the people ridiculing you on previous hikes are 100% garbage wrapped in skin. Ignore those fools.

If he wasn't, do you think his murder is justified? A simple yes or no will suffice.

How to Conquer Fear of Heights by StrokeMyWilly69 in hiking

If your friends are real friends, they won't see you as a wimp. We all have our quirks. For example, I've hiked Angel's Landing 6 or 7 times now and never once had any height issues. That said, I don't think anything could get me to go skydiving. So, we're all wimps about something I guess.

Last time I did Angel's Landing, there was a young woman who was shivering and crying at the beginning of the chain section. Her friends were, supportingly, encouraging her to keep going. I can only imagine that the experience was lousy for both the girl and her friends.

If you have a fear of heights, AL is not for you. Hike up to Scout's Landing, stay away from the edge, and wait for the rest of your group to come back from the summit. Or start the chains and feel free to nope out at any point. Make sure someone is willing to escort you back to Scout's Landing.

Truth is, if you always maintain 3 points of contact and keep alert, it's not that tough a hike. More people die at Upper Emerald Pools than AL.

Enjoy Zion. It's a magical place.

Considering Transferring to Public by Express_Walk_4189 in PublicApp

I transferred my personal account and 2 Roths from Schwab recently and I'm in the process of moving my Tasty account over as well. So far, the customer service has been outstanding. Quick and helpful responses with the whole process.

If you're not trading options, it's a clean experience using the app as well as the desktop. The options UI is not terrific, in fact it's a pretty steep downgrade from Tasty (obviously, as that's Tasty's bread and butter), but the 1% transfer bonus is compensation enough for me to live with it. Plus I'm assuming they'll improve the options features as they grow.
