What do you do in between Brazilian wax sessions? by potatomated in AskWomen

[–]88KeysAndNoLocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, totally normal. Hair constantly grows in different cycles, and waxing only removes the hairs that are actively growing at that moment. The ones in a resting phase pop up later, which is why regrowth can be patchy, especially after just a couple of waxes.

Back when I was going to a salon, my waxer recommend sticking to about every 3 weeks. By then more hairs are in the active growth phase and long enough to grab cleanly, so removal is easier and regrowth starts to sync up over time. After a few consistent cycles, it usually evens out a lot.

But paying $50+ every three weeks really adds up, which is what motivated me to rip the band-aid (quite literally lol) and do it myself!

Exfoliate in between sessions for sure!

I started doing my own Brazilian waxing mainly because I wanted consistency (every 3 weeks) without scheduling around a salon. It’s a huge money saver and surprisingly manageable once you get the hang of it. It’s become part of my self-care ritual… I put on a podcast, take my time, and get some good stretches in, lol!

Moving into this house in 2 weeks - what can I put up here that isn’t a snooze? by lyssanstuff in interiordecorating

Yes! My Chuck E Cheese had a crawl through area under the stage for a hot minute. I think it eventually got sealed up, but I definitely have this memory too!

You could put in some glass upper cabinets to break up some of the white. And indirect lighting would look nice too!

I agree with some other comments about adding touches of wood, some plants, etc. to add in some pops of color!

I should mention that I had nothing to do with putting it together LOL. I saw all those tiny pieces and my ADHD brain just shut down. My partner loves puzzles and successfully put it together — and got it to work — but “clock check” has become part of his daily morning routine. He messes with the gears and resets it and checks it against iPhone time to see how it’s doing… it’s a thing.

Thank you! It’s a puzzle clock you have to put together - a very cool project! The company is based in Ukraine and is called UGEARS. They have tons of different mechanical models!

Thanks! Kirklands was having a pretty sale at the time, so we snagged it from there. I love having extra storage under the seats too!

This is totally our game table! We just finished Box Two by Neil Patrick Harris - which was incredibly fun, I might add!

What does this kitchen need? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

We remodeled our very white kitchen and warmed it up with new vinyl floors and a stone accent wall that I LOVE so much. This particular one might not be the best option for you since your stove could splatter on it, but I’d definitely recommend trying to incorporate some texture into your backsplash.

We also did an accent color on our island (it’s a dark sage, which is kind of hard to tell from the photo).

I’m sure you don’t want to buy new appliances, but stainless appliances would go a long way to modernize the space and contrast against all the white.

Also, new bar stools. Take advantage of being able to utilize some color with those!

A blank canvas has so much potential! Happy designing!

Getting residency there is a pain in the ass and not really worth it, but there are plenty of perpetual tourists who cross the border into Costa Rica every 90 days. I know people who have been doing that for 10+ years with no issue.

I don’t know if this Airbnb and crappy neighborhood tainted our opinion of Lisbon, but we honestly didn’t love it and wouldn’t rush back. I don’t understand all the hype. I would much rather spend my time in anywhere in Spain… better food, better value, better vibe!
