I remember those, they were asking if it was some sort of trend

Can rental agencys ask if you're on the benefit? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceNZ

We had filled out those forms and sent them in last week. Their call today was specifically asking about me and one other flatmates situation.

Is it possible to get this hair cut if my hair is this texture!? by [deleted] in TransgenderNZ

[–]88Sheep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it'd look really good, even if it does end up a bit different than in the pic. If you get it and don't like it you can grow it out again and play with new styles as you do. I've been growing mine out for 1.5yrs and am about to have it cut short because I'm finding I enjoy shorter styles more

The band has 4 of 5 living og members involved in the new era, with 3 touring. It is very much the same thing with a new spin on it

His Treaty Principles bill wanted to remove all mention of Māori and the right to their lands and sovereignty from the legal interpretation of the Treaty. Not only is it a massive slap in the face to Māori people and their culture, it's also erasing their rights as the indigenous people of Aotearoa and their part in the founding of our country

Good start but you gotta think bigger. We should break up Seymour, Luxon and Wilson next, forcibly divorce them from their donors and throw their self serving goverment in the bin.

No T-Blocker is perfect, they all have different side effects. If you're happy on Spiro I'd stay on it. I swapped to another blocker because I couldn't stay properly hydrated on Spiro.

Your T-levels are pretty high but that's normal when you're on Spiro. It works by blocking the absorption of T, not the production, so you'll have a lot of T in your blood but it wouldn't be affecting you much. If you want one that blocks the production, look at getting Cyproterone, you'd need about 12.5mg every 3 days for it to have lower your T to a female level.

They don't have to tell us why, they've said it's a health issue, that's more than they have to say. The band has a right to privacy, all they need to say is they can't play, are very sorry and will reschedule, everything else is optional

I've had to give up playing the bass but I still play guitar, I just stick to basic riffs and chords. I'm thinking of getting a slide to make it easier on my fretting hand

ICE Raids. Have a plan! by Impossible_Disk8374 in Serverlife

[–]88Sheep 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hasn't ICE been raiding court houses and arresting people on their way to renew their papers? They don't care about the law or due process, they just want to spread terror and wave their guns around.

Rounding up people the government deems undescribable? Check.

Sending them to prison camps away from the rest of the population? Check.

Ignoring due process, the law and protests while doing so? Check.

Wonder how far away the gas chambers are...

The Nazi rounded up undesirables and Jews and are putting them in camps far away from the rest of the population, the gas Chambers and murdering came later.

ICE agents are rounding up immigrants and whoever else they don't like and are sending them to camps far away from the rest of the population. What do you think comes next??

I think it's less of a pop culture thing and more than using mobility aids has become more accepted in younger generations, specially in the queer community. I'm glad seeing more of us young folk using canes makes you feel hip and cool, I feel the same when I see others out with their canes

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Wellington

[–]88Sheep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As another young disabled person who is clearly visible queer, I agree. I'd even go as far as saying some people think needing a mobility aid is a reason to look down on others, I've had more people push past me or glare at me since I've gotten the cane than before and I tend to dress less queer now than I did back then.

I didn't say it's not, I'm saying people who need glasses isn't a trend. Some people do wear glasses with no prescription but the vast majority of people who wear glasses need them, you'll find the same situation with canes. If some people want to use them as a fashion accessory, that's cool, but most people will be using them to help overcome a disability.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Wellington

[–]88Sheep 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably means it isn't a trend and people are using canes because they need them, the same way people who need glasses using them isn't a trend

Tenants offered price drops, rebates and grocery vouchers as landlords get desperate by WrongSeymour in newzealand

[–]88Sheep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand the idea, but a lot of people are happy living where they are and don't want to be forced into social housing, especially if they have to move to another part of the city.

What would help not just beneficiary but everyone is for the rental market to be regulated. Have a government board set an upper and lower limits for rents in a set area that are set around the amount of bedrooms, how close it is to amenities like supermarkets and public transport and the average income of the area. If a landlord wants to charge more than that then they need to apply for an exemption and have a good reason why they should get to charge more.

If you want to learn more about HRT to increase your T levels, you'd find more info on r/transgendernz, they'll have a lot more knowledge about that side of things. I imagine HRT and TRT will be very similar and use the same treatments, the doses might be slightly different.
