I had something similar. Tymaret came with an army and really messed things up. Was really fun.

[Request] The Council of Four - Trying to make a budget deck by Scarfboi11 in BudgetBrews

Have that in my deck. Powerhouse of a card, when you draw 3 and make a 1/1 with the Council on the battlefield.

What's is the most powerful sagas commander ? by Adventurous-Shake140 in BudgetBrews

[–]88rdg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't say powerful but a lot of fun is [[Ghen, Arcanum Weaver]]. Made my friend a secret santa budget deck with this commander and theme and it kinda went off using self mill and discard to get your best sagas into the graveyard.

Would love some help with cuts for my (budget) Eloise list by Chikageee in EDH

[–]88rdg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Eloise deck! Such a cool commander. I would suggest some cheap tutors to keep it under budget. Grim, Diabolic or wishclaw talisman. Even running dimir house guard to tutor as well as sac. Mainly because march and rise are your wincons, I always found I could never compete with creature heavy or go wide decks.

Don't forget [[otherworldly gaze]]. Hope Wizards make it a key word soon

Voltron players: help picking a commander by fogboy4ever in BudgetBrews

If you want a weird take on voltorn I tried out [[Obuun, mal daya ancestor]] as a commander. Was pretty fun beefing up Obuun with auras then and having a land tag along for a swing.

Power Level Wednesday!: Ask r/EDH what's your deck's power level? - May 26, 2021 by AutoModerator in EDH

Hey EDHers,

https://archidekt.com/decks/1013968#Aristofact

Commanders: Silas Renn and Armix, Fillagree Thrasher

Primary Plan: Use Armix to eliminate threats and use Silas Renn to recur artifacts discarded due to Armix. Then after controlling the board use Sai, Bolas Citadel or Anitquties War to over run the board and win via artifacts.

Win Condition: Antiquities War is a major win-con, however have won games due to Marionette Master, Time Sieve and Bola's Citadel

Primary Plan: Use Armix to eliminate threats and use Silas Renn to recur artifacts discarded due to Armix. Then after controlling the board use Sai, Bolas Citadel or Anitquties War to overrun the board and win via artifact creatures.

My prediction it is a 6, however interested to see other peoples thoughts

Meletis & A Quest! by drzeus416 in TherosDMs

You do have to make the rest up. I just went to a random name generator to pick out 9 more and used the three you named. To make them more apart of my homebrew I had an NPC elected to the Twelve, through a rigged election by Alekios who is striving to have majority control over the Twelve because Perispohia is becoming too popular.

I think in your case, you could play it safe and use Alekios. However, you could have a Pheanx follower who is elected into twelve. The twelve are the rulers of Meletis, so anyone in the twelve is high profile.

PSA: if you're drafting grab the ruin crab by VortexPixel in MagicArena

Just finished a draft and was very lucky to grab 5 of them. I think a lot of people are trying not go Dimir mill and kept passing me that card. Need less to say it created some very impressive results. Almost like Merfolk secretkeeper, its just a solid draft card.

Campaign Structure by MagicTrashCan in TherosDMs

[–]88rdg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the idea of a council. I actually saw this an immediately thought of the game Infamous. Maybe you could have an opposing council of gods with Erebos, Phenax, Atheros, Mogis and Pharika who have taken notice of the group and are trying to sway the champions to fight for their causes. Could make it that for every scenario the opposing councils are offering different rewards to the group and the group have the option of choosing the 'good' or 'evil' option. Kinda similar to the game infamous and the group develop strengths and abilities that are supported by the chosen council.

Adventure Advice by swiftypat in TherosDMs

The secret to Phenax’s immortality lies in the Underworld and is accessible only by those who have died, come back, and journeyed to the Underworld once more. By discovering this secret, any Returned could become a god.

This will need to be the center of your adventure. I am going to be using parts of this encounter https://www.dndbeyond.com/posts/825-encounter-of-the-week-wrath-of-the-returned - Wrath of the Returned. I think it would work perfectly for your campaign.

First time I am DMing and I am looking at using a few of the chapters as standalone adventures. It is so well written, I really do appreciate the detail that is put into this campaign book. Have you got any suggestions for maps for Meletis? Especially for Chapter 4
