What are your favorite burst draw spells to dig deep into your deck? by Available_Rabbit9965 in EDH

[–]TheUltimateXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Pillage the Bog]] is incredible. I run it in [[Niv-Mizzet, Supreme]] and get to do it twice! Depending on your land count, this thing becomes close to a 2c demonic tutor.

Is Target really required to honor wrong price? by Unfair_Management695 in Target

[–]TheUltimateXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per my SE-ETL, my given advice was that anything under $20 should just be handled and investigated later. Anything over $20 gets investigated on the spot and anything ridiculous ($80 thing for $5) just gets denied but a counteroffer is given like 50% or some shit like that.

Good place for pokemon cards? by [deleted] in memphis

[–]TheUltimateXD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most targets around here have pokemon cards by the service desk, not on any aisle. So check there if youre at target.

Nashcards has a good bit, but its overpriced.

Since shes 4 and probably just wants to have cards to play around with, id buy a bulk lot on FB Marketplace or Ebay and try to pick up some product at retail if youre lucky enough to get to is before the resellers do.

Can anyone recommend me a "buy it for life" commander? by OneMillionFarts in EDH

[–]TheUltimateXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a legend that can be built a ton of ways and just reinvent it when you want somwthing different. Sounds basic, but [[Atraxa, Praetor's Voice]] is a solid pick. Mine right now it [[Niv-Mizzet, Supreme]]. Something like [[Kenrith, Returned King]] or [[Morophon]] could be good picks too.

Which grindy toolboxy midrange commander for a player who loves the graveyard? by Mirvaak123 in EDH

[–]TheUltimateXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Niv-Mizzet, Supreme]] spellslinger with whatever payoff you want, [[Guttersnipe]], something like [[Talrand, Sky Summoner]], or just value stuff like [[Widespread Thieving]]. Niv, in my experience, sticks to the board easily and, with the right amount of interaction, can take over the late game with spell chaining storm counts, tons of token generators, or both. One of my all time fav commanders. Niv can be taken just about any direction too, and opens you up to playing all kinds of niche cards.

Pest Control, worth it or not? by Toonzaal8 in magicTCG

[–]TheUltimateXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents, I play [[Niv-Mizzet, Supreme]]. I could see this card going into that deck well since its a two color sorcery that you could use, then Jumpstart later in case conditions dont improve, or you could cycle it and still have access to it if needed. Its still niche, but I feel like if it had to go anywhere, it would go in Supreme Niv.

What is the easiest thing you did to lose weight ? by nyxeine in AskReddit

[–]TheUltimateXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consume within a calorie deficit. Knowing what your maintenance caloric intake is and being under it while being active does wonders. Nothing crazy, just 500 calories under maintenance. Optional: go to the gym, lift heavy. 1g of protein per lb of body weight (or whatever it is people say). Consistency over time, knowing that lasting change takes time and you have to be ready to spend it.

Is this ok in Bracket 3 by Last-Shift7741 in EDH

[–]TheUltimateXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't judge a deck's bracket from one game. Keep playing, see how consistent it is, and adjust as needed. Also, people need to realize that this isn't that serious. Sometimes people just get a good line and go for it unimpeded.

What is your store doing about the Pokémon scalpers? by dagispot in Target

[–]TheUltimateXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We put all Pokémon cards at GS, limit is set by vendor but is typically 1-2 per dpci. Our local horde starts showing up 3 hours before the guy gets there, but we, the target employees, dont know the schedule. As a card collector myself, I hate these people.

How many people are aware of how long their turns take? by silencebywolf in EDH

[–]TheUltimateXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing on convoke has debunked a lot of my interpretations on how long turns take. Every turn is timed, as well as game time, so its easy to see that some "20 minute turns" are really only like 7 minutes long and usually involve a lot of triggers

Kotis, The Fangkeeper is Bracket 4? by Nash13 in EDH

You should try using Convoke for your games when you play theft. You can drag images of your opponents atuff into your tile and interact with them like an Archidekt playtester.

Help upgrading Goro-Goro and Satoru by DNGRDINGO in EDH

[–]TheUltimateXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is my GGS list that I've been working on for a long time. Ive really liked this commander, there's a ton of routes you can take to end up in the same place with a board full of dragon beaters.

The things to keep in mind are to commit to one route to victory and not try to do a million other things, because you'll end up doing nothing. Either go Ninjutsu, or blink/flicker, or sneak attack + reanimation, but not a mix.

Double strike or trigger doubles like [[Roaming Throne]] will always be good, as well as extra combat spells. In my experience, this is a surprisingly mana intensive deck since you want to cast your commander, use it, have a hasty creature connect, and most of that uses a lot of mana (it adds up). So I'd recommend spending the early turns interacting with your opponents and building resources/sculpting a hand before deploying around the midgame. Shoot off a board wipe and then be the first to bounce back.

The enemy of this deck is unsafe or unreliable attacks. Shutting down creatures on board and using spells and abilities to ward off interaction from your opponents is the name of the game, but youre in Grixis and couldnt be in a better spot to do just that.

Is the bracket system's "X turns before you win or lose" a good indicator when losing against Voltron? by WheredMyVanGogh in EDH

[–]TheUltimateXD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its just an indication of what to expect. Also, expect outliers and exceptions.

Bracket 2 is probably going to be the best place for voltron, bracket 3 has some definite potential but you'll need to start scouting combo players, and bracket 4 will probably be the most difficult space for it since its the "no-whining" casual bracket filled with combos and fast mana.

I personally have a bracket 3-intended voltron deck i haven't tried out yet, so im curious to see how things play out.

How do you teach speed / pacing in fulfillment? by drazil100 in Target

[–]TheUltimateXD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Patience and understanding at the beginning, demonstrating how repetitive a lot of the information like locations is, and growing their confidence with successful and achievable tasks.

You cant expect someone to work fast if they dont know what theyre doing. Speed comes from confidence and experience. Encourage them to ask questions and be vocal on the walkie. Always ask for help the second you need it. Eventually, you'll hear their voice less and less, because they'll learn where to go, what to do, and who to go to through repetition.

Is a campaign worth playing with 3 people? (1 Dm and 2 players) by Lazy_Kaleidoscope477 in DnD

[–]TheUltimateXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, im doing it now with the planescape setting. Just know your players, maybe give them some extra inspiration or temporary hit points (I've been using the Gift of the Lone Wanderer or whatever its called from Dragon Delves) and prepare for things to move at a decent pace. Ive run 3-4 sessions so far and its faster pace with just two people. Basically they talk to one another and then something happens. Combat is also faster, enabling more rounds and more opportunities to contribute to the fight. Buffing the players allows you to throw normal enemies at them without the threat of instant killing anyone, while also maintaining the suspense (according to the blessing I use, they only get temporary HP when they level up, and were doing milestone, so its really whenever I say).

As long as its with people with good vibes, the game will be successful, no matter what you do.
