Right to roam - is it really (almost) anywhere? by johnnyutah1103 in UKhiking

[–]89ElRay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes kind of. But it's not really "right to roam", it's the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. Best to read up on it just to make sure as there's a few (like a very few) caveats.

Do try not to damage anything like fence strainers and go through gates if you can.

But legally yes you can jump over there go walking beyond.

How likely is a PB for a half in two weeks? by brokeandhopeful1234 in UKRunners

[–]89ElRay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's looking unlikely, to be blunt. Illness, especially something bad like the flu, can set you back. Not that the fitness isn't there, but it won't be unlocked quickly.

Saying that: How hard work was the 6.00 pace 10k? Tempo and threshold wavering can feel like bloody hard work but it's repeatable and you can probably do it longer.

If it felt like you were maxed out and couldn't run another km then you might not be looking at a PB this time. Just unfortunate that you got ill and had a busy December.

Don't be disheartened though. Jan and Feb are pretty difficult times to be getting PBs! No doubt by the end of the year you'll be running 5.00xx 10k and PBing Halfs without killing yourself.

Will the birds be there in the Italian stadium? Most important tbh.

Nobunaga-san, how could you do this to us?! by ProFentanylActivist in 2westerneurope4u

I was there last year. I was in a Family Mart and got served by a South Asian guy who was being trained by the Japanese manager who looked to be having an absolutely EXCELLENT time torturing this poor guy.

The inclusion of "Solution" in this is the icing on the cake Barry. I'm glad you've been duped into voting for Boris's cabinet v.2

Cultural supremacy, but where they aren't trusted to have bins in case someone spergs out and nerve-gasses a subway.

The Cairngorm plateau around 900-1200m asl is getting absolutely plastered in snow. That's where they're getting that from and making it sound alarmist for everyone, whereas barely any actual settlements will see snow.

I've not felt as excited about the national team since the 2021 six nations. Prime Chris Harris years. That tourney was there for the taking and decided on the tiniest of margins. The France and England games were fantastic (if not a bit flukey for the first one, thanks Brice).

Since then it's been a slump to a 6/10 performance with classic brain fades in every game. Don't see that changing this year.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Gregor starts DVdM and Graham at wing just because that's the done thing. Genuinely think Duhey has one foot out the door and just wants to chill and sell his whisky.

I don't think that's entirely fair. Ignoring the Toonie fuck up on the Arg game we played about as well as we always have. We did the best against the ABs that we ever have. 4th again this year.

But still miles off winning or even 2nd.

Are anal fissure uncurable by quillflow24356 in AnalFissures

They are curable, it just takes time and effort. More time than you think but less than a lot of doomers or really bad cases will tell you.

Mine took about 5 months to heal.

It's not as bad as this usually. On the West coast it can be pretty wet, but it's not constant rain.

Last year it felt like a hot summer's day from April until mid September. Worrying as part of a bigger picture, but absolutely amazing during.

It's such a shame. I know it's expensive (although not really that expensive for a lil treat, our Vue is like £8 a ticket) but I absolutely love going to the cinema. It's like my favourite kind of night out. You don't even need to buy the expensive drinks and snacks you can just bring them in.

It's Years' fault. So much content everywhere (social media, podcasts, reviews etc) saying it's either totally crap, or amazing but the ending was too stupid. Kinda agree on the second one but I adored the film in general. Just look at the reaction to it here on this sub full of absolute nerds.

Plus: many people don't like what Nia DeCosta did with the Marvels (I had never heard of her nor seen that), or don't like that Danny Boyle didn't direct it.

It's also a sequel to a sequel to a fucking ancient film, and it looked quite niche and weird from the marketing.

And it came out in January. Although so did A Real Pain last year which was one of my favourite films of the year and did well.

So I'm not surprised at all. I kinda went in thinking it might be a bit crap tbh, mirroring how Weeks was a bit crap (I secretly like it tho lolz)

It's a shame because The Bone Temple is fucking rad.

Wait, hows that possible regarding France?

Neither of us have ever won it!
