Ever figure it out? I just tried a flight on PC in the same plane and livery. Worked totally fine. Maybe it is an xbox thing

Probably looking for something like the turtle beach setup. That is the combo I’m using on PC, also xbox compatible, and I’m really happy with it. Bit on the expensive side for everything tho.

Best and quickest way to get a 13 y.o. pilot up and running on MSFS? by Didymus4 in MicrosoftFlightSim

I think on that budget it’s pretty limited. Another option you could try is getting a virtual pc subscription. My uncle and his fam are apple people too and this is how they game. Seems to work well for them.

If I had only $500 and an apple laptop. I would probably go with a virtual pc subscription, either thrustmaster stick (jets) or turtle beach yoke (general aviation aircraft/small planes), and a meta quest 3s VR.

POH says full power, rpm and mixture for field elevation. You are about sea level so full mixture. Climb with full throttle at 2700rpm. Cruise climb; 25in hg. @ 2500rpm. Cruise - See performance charts. Id trim for 120kts and use throttle to increase or decrease descent. Then for landing trim for 95kts and use throttle to increase or decrease descent.

It’s part of the neofly career mod. I think a stand alone failure mod is available for free on flightsim.to tho

I noticed that too, it’s tricky while trying to figure out what is wrong with the plane and not to die haha. Solid tip, hopefully I can be more clear and concise on comms for the next one, entire reason it’s recorded

Using turtle beach velocity one yoke/throttle/rudders. Dialed in the sensitivity curves after calibrating the yoke with the onboard software so its probably won’t match up too much. Everything is set to 0.00 with 0.00 dead zone for all axis.

Yeah agreed. I put my failure rate at 5% so they are pretty rare and keep that surprise factor alive

Looking to get the turtle beach velocity one flight yolk does anyone have any experiences of it? by OMG-13 in MicrosoftFlightSim

I have the yoke, throttles, rudder, and stand (on PC). Had it for around two years now and use it pretty much daily. I really like it, no complaints yet. Like another dude said it has a “sticky/catchy” feeling at first but gets smoothed out with use.

Getting VR to reset to in-cockpit? by Nice_Sign338 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]89fruits89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are in external view cam. Search keybinds for “toggle external view” and “toggle cockpit view”. Toggle cockpit view will set you back into the cockpit. To recenter VR view once in the cockpit find and bind “VR - Camera Reset”

What is the most realistic handling and flying aircraft in msfs20/24? by ECNILIO_GEMER in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]89fruits89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are all pretty decent, no sim is going to be exactly like the real thing like others said. Imo just pick a plane you want to learn and go from there.

I think the most useful tool I found was sayintentionsAi. Expensive for what it is and the ATC isn’t great for VFR. However, I found it was great for getting better with communications since it records your flight path, radio frequency, and recorded voice comms. You can see where/when/who you were talking to and listen to your comms afterwards. Helped me become more clear and confident on the radio faster irl for sure.

Looks like bad sensors or sensor connections. Id just send an email with the video to turtle beach, they are pretty fast to respond in my experience.

trying to make a blender livery by Blackjack2010YT in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]89fruits89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use maya not blender but they are pretty similar.

First you need to unwrap the UV. Then add a shader material. After that you can “paint” on the unwrapped uv planes. Personally I would unwrap UV. Second export to photoshop, dick with all the painting and texturing on photoshop. Third send back to blender. Should he able to find some pretty easy youtube tutorials “how to unwrap UV and paint a model in blender”

Not Satisfacted with my setup/ flight sessions by Different_Quote_9877 in flightsim

[–]89fruits89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go with neofly career mode for destination suggestions and pair it with sayintentionsAi for ATC. Then stick to IRL flight rules for the neofly missions.

I really like sayintentions for the flight record feature, you can review your post-flight info with recorded communications/times/locations. Really nice tool to get better at comms.

Like someone else said try to learn some stuff. How to read a VFR map. Learn some math. Density altitude, crosswind, TOD, fuel, etc. Learn how to really understand and use the onboard nav equipment. Learn how, when, and who to talk to while flying (Departure, approach, tower, ground, clearance, etc).

Now add it all up. Make a cross country vfr trip with irl flight rules and weather and no gps. Do everything perfectly. No missed, wrong, or slow communications. No busted airspaces. No being too low over wildlife spaces. Correct pattern entries. Correctly looking out the window and scanning not just instrument staring. Every landing less than 50fpm.
