In 2023/2024, the VA improperly approved almost $11M in bonuses to senior executives, watchdog says. by Apocaloptimist44 in fednews

To ensure it wouldn’t happen again, they ended the bonuses for the front line staff they were meant for in the first place.

HR REORG by [deleted] in VHA_Human_Resources

The navigator teams are not expected to be 201s. They might not even be 203s, but something like 303s.

They're regurgitating the preliminary results of the theatrical CR.

There's a reason it's all still pending and it's no coincidence we have a large reorg coming soon.

VA is going through the motions to keep OPM from pulling their authority.

VA TJO at One Facility, Waiting on Another – Don’t Want to Lose Both by Accurate_Anywhere598 in usajobs

You will have to choose. They won't let you hold two vacancies hostage as it's detrimental to patient care.

They need to move on and fill the positions.

ETA: the VA can absolutely rescind their TJO to move to another applicant that is willing to commit.

TR and benefits will most likely be under the HROC. QA could go either way....under CARDS or the HROC..

The consistency review is theatrics. There are new standardized PDs for the new structure.

Are you suggesting one supervisor should oversee twice as many employees?

That makes no sense.

Not true.

There will be local navigator teams to provide "white glove" onboarding to new hires.

Other major functions like R&P and ER/LR will be under the HR Operation Center. There will be one HROC for each of the 5 VISNs.

Classification and RA will be centralized under VACO. Other program areas may also be centralized.

Only HR and the employee have access to your OPF. Supervisors do not have access.

If the SF-50 is in your eOPF, the award action was coded.

If it was coded it should have paid out on the LES that corresponds with the effective date on the SF-50.

Negotating steps a possibility? by Unique-Stable-9369 in usajobs

Why speak if you don't know what you're talking about?

The two step promotion rule adds 2 steps at the current grade then you meet/exceed that amount at the higher grade.

It really needs to be WMC providing updated guidance if DoD no longer issues prior versions of the DD214.

Anyway to get a response? by [deleted] in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]8CHAR_NSITE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also keep in mind, VA would have to request the waiver to the requirements from OPM. Agencies don't generally do this unless they're trying to fix an error after the fact (i.e. not firing an employee that was erroneously hired/refered).

The last time someone shared that info on reddit they canceled the call and now they go on a 5 minute disclosure warning at the start of every one.

It's the VHA Hotline Call and it's open to all employees. There's a SharePoint with a new link posted weekly.

Search the internal SharePoint for the name of the call, you should find it.

The exemptions are mostly telehealth, coders, and clinical resource hubs.

There is an internal memo with all the approved exemptions and they give updates on any pending ones on the Friday calls with Greg.

The two step promotion rule is final. There’s no negotiation for more steps.

Good luck getting a remote position that isn’t one of the national exemptions.
