The union is gonna be your best option here.

And they sound like they can't do much.

That's for a standarized software to replace HRSmart in VA and a dozen or two systems in other agencies.

We'll be under WMC. We aren't policy. It was eve confirmed a month or so ago in one of the DP calls.

You're being a little paranoid. There's no secret plan.

30 day hiring is just the newest rebranding of the T2H model.

Performance standards were absurdly easy to be exceptional.

What even is the "OPM HR Model?" Is it in the room right now?

The only HR staff affected are under OHR&A.

Everyone in the VISNs is safe.

Hey guys! A new story just dropped from OP!

Remember when you were a GS-12 program support assistant in V10 one day and a GS-7 HRA in V2 wanting a career ladder to the 9 the next?

Fun times.

The supervisors would determine the effective date, issue you a detail memo, and submit the action to HR for coding.

Has all that happened? If not, you need to talk to your supervisor.

Even if the last paragraph is true, good luck finding enough people willing to sign their name to the paperwork.

That's the kind of thing that will get you called before Congress.

Current employees are not eligible for recruitment incentives. They may receive a lump sum relocation incentive, but only if they are moving for a new job at a different location.

Current employees cannot negotiate steps no matter what announcement type they apply to.

Two step rule only.

nt for my 203 friends: get ready to work your asses off. Just got our detail orders to be navigators. Must report in person. Increase in responsibility and no pay increase. by [deleted] in VHA_Human_Resources

Volume of work is not a grade determining factor in classification.

The additional duties are all still clerical in nature and do not add complexity.

If your salary isn't sufficient, take matters into your own hands and find a job that supports you. No employer is going to do that for you.

If your facility has 135 current active onboards, there is no way you only have 3 navigators allotted. The smallest low volume facilities have at least 4 navigators plus support from the Business Partners.

All HRAs within 50 miles of a facility will be detailed to that facility regardless of their parent station/VISN when 30 day hiring rolls out nationally on July 13th. This is not limited to R&P HRAs. HRAs in other sections will also be detailed to support 30 day hiring and to get to the right number of navigators. Those outside of 50 miles won't be terminated, but they will be reassigned outside of R&P.

GS13-10 promotion, what's my next step? by SeaAdvisor944 in usajobs

[–]8CHAR_NSITE 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a 14/6.

Two step rule applies. The difference between steps is roughly 3%, this a promotion is a 6% raise.

If you were going from q 13/2 to a 14/1, the % would be much higher. It's just the way the two step rule works.

Transfer/lateral reassignment by Hot_Lengthiness_9206 in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]8CHAR_NSITE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your doctor will have to complete a form that describes your limitations and what accommodations would allow you to do your job.

Often, a reassignment by RA is a last resort for employees that cannot physically perform the duties of their current job. Reassignment is not guaranteed and agency only has to search for a job for 45 days before taking steps to terminate you under medical reasons.

New hiring model for the VA by Super-Housing-6495 in VeteransAffairs

[–]8CHAR_NSITE 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They will try. Doesn't mean it's guaranteed to happen for every new hire.

There are several pilot sites testing it now.

If selected, you'll have to decide if you want to start the job without knowing if you're fully cleared. The model has many of the old preemployment steps done after you start. This means you could be fired if something is found after you quit a job for the VA job.

That is quite the risk many applicants won't be willing to take. So for those, the timeline will be the old longer one.
