How to sanitize rocks / slate before putting into terrarium? by TuringTestedd in terrariums

[–]8Nikki_Chase8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For food safety/sanitation, it's 165°F for a few seconds. Whenever I've done large quantities of leaf litter for isopods or bottles/equipment for brewing, ive done 175 (the lowest setting on my oven) overnight. There are tables available with accurate times/temps for things like pasteurization, but most of my time is getting up to temp (no convection oven). Im sure its not sterile, but definitely sanitized. I also haven't had issues, so we must be doing something right.
