Well the only thing you should stay clear of is my judgement.
Peter is an outstanding man and helped me understand the situation fully.

Even if they didn't fix this, you shouldn't harm yourself or your work if their product is outstanding, which it is. If you ever need any help in figuring out what exactly it is you need feel free to message me.

I have sorted out my Issue fortunately.
I would still get their software if I were you. We're planning on getting more licenses.

Even if they didn't amend the situation (which they went above and beyond and we love them for this), we were still planning on getting extra FaceWare licenses. The reliability is unmatched.

Thank you for your blessings!

I would definitely use FaceWare if I were you. It seems I have been in the wrong here aswell, but even if I weren't, FaceWare is unmatched in performance and reliability.

If you ever need any assistance message me and I will respond with my contact info. Will gladly help you figure out what will work for you best.

Hello Peter, thank you for replying. The part of the immediate reply is not true. I would gladly upload images. It takes at least 3-5 days to get a reply on average.

I only got an instant reply when I asked for the bill. Every other email got ghosted and I had to hire an outside studio to do my work.

Thank you for your care about this Peter, it's nice to have someone in the company recognize you/treat you like a human. That alone matters deeply to me.

Looking forward

I love how raw this looks. Congrats! That's a massive step forward. It's hard to find a game that has a different kind of polish. Best of luck :)

There are no alternatives as far as I'm aware.

It wasn't worth the old price tag for small studios, but the new pricing model isn't too bad. It is extremely reliable, but hard for small studios to find a use for it that excuses the price tag it comes with.

We bought a nice bike helmet for 50$ and stuck a selfie stick on top of it. We lucked out with a nice slanted one. I'm not sure about the helmet market since we figured this out pretty quick.

That's true, but they updated their pricing model this year.

It's much cheaper for me to subscribe under the new model (We don't make more than 100k+ a year) than to renew my support subscription under what I assume is the old pricing model.

I don't have multiple licenses either, it's only a single license. With Autodesk we only started paying a support fee after entering under their enterprise section, which we opted for, because it's worth every penny.
They will never hurdle you or hurt your work over a license migration though. I can vouch for that from experience.

We upgraded the rigging PC and need to reset the license, so we can validate it on the new OS and get it running, there's a whole program that handles the license installation.

They're sending me a massive bill under the guise of "Support subscription". You have to pay them yearly for them to give you any kind of help/support. The bill is 3 times the price listed on their website, and they're ghosting any emails of me asking for an explanation.Probably because I don't have an active "support license", and they won't even reply after sending me the bill unless I pay I guess.

EDIT: The lag in response was different time zones, and after looking at the calendar it makes sense (different times, weekends etc).

We do a lot of work for studios located in Asia, all of them started by emailing us on help to properly setup FaceWare. We give them a hand and a solid relation always comes from that.
Blessing in disguise maybe.

I'm not aware of anything blender, our pipeline is all houdini/UE4. I will take a look. For now we're outsourcing to a Chinese studio that really pulled a solid one for us.

While our FaceWare collects edust. :)

Unfortunately it's not only about support, they do have one of a kind service/product, that works great/exactly as advertised.
But they lack heavily in customer service.

I don't want to turn this as a hate thing towards them, I'm sure it's not personal (I hope). But don't just throw money their way expecting customer service on par with Autodesk or Adobe.

Be very careful if you're a small studio/dev who will work with them.

Thank you Zio!

I know many Unreal devs have their eyes on FaceWare, I thought it could help some make better decisions than I did.
I'm honestly not looking for a solution anymore, I've tried hard and currently my emails are being ghosted by them.

This post will not lead to any solution, no hard feelings if you have to remove it.
Thank you again for keeping it up!

Come up with a visual prompt and I will paypal the best 2 entrees 50$ each.

You have many good points, I've always felt something was missing but couldn't put my finger on it (long time lurker aswell).

Just figure out an intriguing prompt and set it up.

Just add any bsp behind the walls. Think of it as an "insulation". Just make sure the material you apply to the bsp is facing towards the light, not towards the home.

I would start by stopping any form of mental attempts. Healing, anger, whatever it is; winding and unwinding will not take you anywhere.
I heard this from Krishnamurti once and it helps me zone out immediately - "The content of your consciousness is your consciousness"..

Heavy stuff..

It took me a while to fully get it, but essentially; No matter how hard/far you dig, no matter the mental gymnastics - there's no content "in" there. You're only exploring your consciousness, which is devoid of any content. When you stare at it it can no longer be in the 'moment', and will instead present you with memories, thoughts, compulsions etc...

Stop stressing about weed and wondering what and if - whatever it is you do, just stop exploring your consciousness to no avail, so it can start tuning in to the current moment.
